My first visit and Aliyah (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) at the counter, greeted me with a beautiful smile. She was super sweet and transparent, before I ordered, she told me it would be a 30min wait. I ordered 3 6wing dinners and definitely worth the wait. It was absolutely delicious, crispy and flavorful. We will be back!

The experience was bad. The girl didn't want to take any orders. Then when asked what want. I said wings. She say dark or white. No knowledge of chicken. She telling everyone 40 to 45 minutes wait time. They only had one cook. They had chicken done. But they were just sitting in the grease basket . While she had her head down. Still waiting to order. Sat there for 30 minutes. I left. Worst chicken shack ever.

The lady had us standing in line for no reason then she asked me what I wanted and I told her perch fish and chicken wing combo and she had an attitude sayin white meat or dark meat I’m like chicken wings perch combo. The little girl. ? will never recommend them again very embarrassing and they saying 45 minutes and chicken sitting there. That vibe sucked ran by a young gurl that’s no more than maybe 22yrs old maybe 24yrs old. ?????????️✌???. I’ll take my service elsewhere but never again will I come here and the new person I bring in with me said they ain’t coming back ??????✌?and I didn’t order that’s just too lazy service

Delicious food but long wait times, I guess that means a lot of business. I don't eat it often because I avoid fried foods but the few times we have ordered from here have been delicious.

I went here on Dec. 28, 2023, and got incredibly bad service.First of all, the clerk, who, according to the receipt, is named RIAH, has absolutely no business as a customer-facing employee. She acted ENORMOUSLY put upon by me approaching the register to order something. I guess she thinks Harold's should just open and operate with no customers, so her job can be to just stand around looking at her phone. She barked at me if I was picking up or needed to order but it was borderline unintelligible. Once I took a second to understand what she was asking I asked for a half mixed with hot on the side. She started punching away at the register and I noticed it said mild sauce and I said, "No hot," and she said, "You said mild." There's absolutely no way I said mild; I've been ordering this same thing at Harold's for decades. Nevertheless I was able to pay and she said it'd take 20 to 25 minutes. I left and came back a half-hour later.Upon seeing me re-enter, RIAH went over and told the kitchen staff about my order. I added up pretty quickly that she hadn't put my order in, but she didn't tell me that or acknowledge me at all. An older male staff member said aloud, "Yours is gonna be another 15 minutes," not making eye contact with me, looking in my direction or anything. I had to guess that he was talking to me.I'd ordered at 4:36 p.m. and I didn't get my order until 5:40. It took over an hour. Once I got my order the older male staff member said, "Do you want a free pop or ... ?" very hesitantly, begrudgingly. Everyone there just seemed annoyed that I had come in, ordered something, paid for it, and then expected to eventually get it -- you know, the whole point of a restaurant?When people from out of town ask me about fried chicken in Chicago I always proudly tout Harold's but I think that is going to have to change, because the service at this place is so deeply messed up. They seem PROUD to give you horrible service, to where it's a bad idea to recommend it to anyone.tl, dr: When you pay for food at this Harold's, you have to remind them to eventually make it and the attitude is overall horrible.

The cashier and the 2 cooks were both very nice and friendly. They made me feel good about spending my money there. I ordered for delivery. Upon my arrival, the order was ready, and the chicken was still hot when I arrived home.
