I see myself fortunate enough to write this message after going through the worst FOOD POISONING experience I have ever experienced. Last week I decided to buy a few pieces and I was asked which sauce I wanted. The cashier showed me 3 small containers and I believe she said BBQ, Spicy and a white sause probably Ranch. I said spicy. my food was ready in like 7 minutes and I went home, when I opened the food container they have poured half of the spicy sauce bottle over all my chicken and fries...
Now, before I continue it was my first time eating there...
The fries all soggy and the skin of the chicken was not cripsy anymore... I had to take some yogurt sauce to mild down the food.
After a few bites I knew already I was sick... from there I went from high fevers, chills, stomach pain, colics and diarrhea.
I am guessing this company is an institution in the south but I am certain my food was cross contaminated.
UNFORTUNATELY, I LOVE STEPS AWAY AND NOW I WILL BE ALWAYS AWAY FROM IT, BECAUSE AINT NOBODY GOT TIME TO BE GETTING ER CLOSE SICK...

I stop by this Harolds while my mom was seeing the doctor at a near by hospital. The cashier K looks miserable. She does not greet her customers, smile or say thank you. The coleslaw was like water and the atmosphere is hot and not well kept. Horrible customer service I will not be back.

Owner finally sold out .. gmo wings so big, I could only eat 2 of 4. Place could use a paint job too .. very grimy lookn, especially the seating are by the counter area. Have you forgot you are in hyde park? What a disgrace. Where is your pride ..man.

Great food! Super busy... both online and walk-in orders kept the workers busy. Limited seating... only two booths available and one had people sitting in it. Just plan on getting your food to-go.

phone person was pretty rude

I haven't had Harold's Chicken in about three years. I went to the location on Broadway on the north side. I wanted bbq today but my place was closed. Since I drove out from Aurora, I decided to come to this location as my Plan B. So glad I did. The wait for my food was well worth it. It was delicious just as i remembered. I came during lunch so it was quite busy. Next time I'll come a little later and possibly on a weekend. Thank you!!

That new cook is the bomb. Wings was fire 🔥🔥🔥

The chicken wings and the gizzard were cooked nicely, but their mild sauce tastes different, too vinegary.
