Excellent customer service, I live in the building and it’s always a pleasant experience!

Loved the seating vibe, and the Blueberry Jasmine Latte I ordered was so good.

very convenient and nice place to grab a little coffee while walking around uptown or waiting to catch the bus. Service is always fantastic, and the seasonal drinks are a treat

My go-to neighborhood coffee joint. The baristas are always warm and friendly, and the coffee is solid. Never had a bad drink or experience here. I believe they source their pastries from Sweet Rabbit and their coffee from Intelligentsia.

Perfect stop for a quick coffee in a gorgeous building. I met a friend here and sat in the shop long enough to feel out the vibe. It was a good time.
The coffee was exactly what I needed it to be, and I could see myself getting coffee here regularly. It seems the neighborhood agrees. There was a consistent stream of people grabbing coffee to go, and service was very quick. There was never a sense of the space being too loud or too crowded despite the number of customers.
Seating was mostly barstools at a counter, and so this may not be the place to work for the day. It was a great place to have my morning coffee, wait a few minutes, and spot cute dogs on the street.

Great spot for coffee and pastries.

Had a pastry, which was pretty good! The biggest downside was that the front desk attendant at Lawrence House was extremely unwelcoming. I had just arrived at the lobby catching up with a friend, and he immediately confronted me about needing to buy an item at the coffee shop in order to stay. I completely understand that and more than willing to comply. However, he stood right by me, almost staring me down, then accused me of having an attitude. I did not appreciate that, and made the rest of the experience unpleasant. I’d love to come back in the future, but this experience is making me think otherwise

Great nearby stop with solid options for ordering online. Very friendly baristas. Minimal seating in café itself but lobby of adjoining building is serviceable.

The baristas are always super nice. Quick service, but can get pretty busy at peak times. Since they switched bakeries for their food items, there are no longer any savory vegetarian options. So only come here for food if you have a sweet tooth or eat meat.

It’s worth mentioning that there is only street parking that is metered. I was able to find a spot maybe half a block away. Also, the seating area posted in the picture was under construction. (No actual work was happening). However, if you can get past that part, you’re sure to find a comfy place (many spots to choose from)to sit and work, relax with a good book or enjoy a cup of coffee and hang out with a friend and catch up!
When we were there as soon as we tried to sit down, there was a man that stopped us to ask what we were doing. When we told him we were having coffee and hanging out, he said OK. I believe that that is part of the apartment complex so I don’t think you could just sit there and hang out unless you live there or you’re having coffee.
The actual coffee shop area is a small, walk up counter where you order and go. The gentleman that helped us was very friendly. I like strong coffee so for me their drip coffee wasn’t super strong but was good. You can always add a shot of espresso which she was more than happy to do for me. I also had the lemon loaf, which was absolutely delicious. My friend had the matcha, hot. You have the option of to go cups or coffee mugs that you can bring to the lounge area. It was a perfect environment for us to hang out and just relax and catch up. I even got a refill and my friend got some hot water.
When the sun came out, we moved to the outdoor area, which was absolutely divine! They have a number of futon like beds that you can spread out and on and relax, which is what we did and proceeded to stay there for about an hour or so.
I would definitely go back as I’m curious to see what it will look like when the renovations are finished. But absolutely do not let that detour you from visiting and staying in a while!

I come here often before my classes the price is pretty high though. The barista Jeremy is really great, makes a good iced matcha latte. Would recommend 👍🏼

They sold me a very stale croissant for full price! Day(s) old croissants should always be offered at a discount.

The coffee shop itself is cute and has plenty of coffee and pastry goodies. La Marzocco machine. Solid pourover. Donuts from Do-rite donuts.

But the real star of the show is the access to the apartment building lobby for coffee shop guests. The lobby is gorgeous and airy with plenty of work spaces and outlets. If you don’t mind mingling with the apartment guests it’s one of the most unique spaces for a coffee shop. Will be back here.
