C’mon man please update your restaurants inside the dining room , it’s Ike I was in a time capsule like back in 1975. Bathroom was ok I guess. Outside restaurant logo letters are missing. Plates and coffee mug the same probably since 1977 looked beaten up.

As a person who lives diners and has visited dozens of them,This place was a bit disappointing. The seats are run down, the food wasn't anything special, the service was just okay(never got a napkin or checked on), my soup was served in broken cup and it just seems like this place could be a lot better if they put more effort into it.Would personally recommend yolk, eggperience or golden apple if you're looking for a good diner.

The seats looked like the set of walking dead. The food was tasteless and not worth a penny. How do you mess up pancakes?

Had a 3 egg sausage omelette it was overcooked and sloppy poor presentation, the other breakfast had an eggshell in it. Such a shame been coming here since the 80's don't come here often but I would do better cooking my own breakfast.

This place is crap. It's a block from Swedish Hospital on California, so it ought to do good business. But at 10am on a Wednesday there were few diners. It's a breakfast and lunch place (closes at 3pm) and the menu has abundant selections of such food. I love biscuits and gravy, so I always get that at a new place. My husband ordered French toast. The server was friendly and there wasn't a big lag time before the food arrived. I asked for scrambled eggs with the biscuits, but they came out over easy. I complained, so the server took the plate back to correct the error. It wasn't long before the corrected plate came back, but when it did, it wasn't worth waiting for. I like scrambled eggs fluffy but these weren't by a long shot. It was flat, more like a plain omelette, and very greasy. The flavor was poor, like the greasy hash browns. The so-called "biscuits" weren't like any I've ever had. They were more like small hamburger buns, toasted. The gravy was inedible to my taste; it tasted rancid, like an ingredient had turned. I left the plate with most of the food on it, untouched. My husband's French toast were wide (or thick) slices of bread, basically toasted. The flavor was unremarkable and the maple syrup was unauthentic, probably plain corn syrup. The only good thing I had was the cup of hot chocolate, with whipped cream. The prices were inflated for the food quality. Next time I have an appointment at Swedish, I'll be eating in the hospital cafeteria if I'm hungry.

I came over to Hilltop while a family member was in surgery. It's a great quiet place to wait and enjoy a meal. Pretty standard diner food. Quick and spot on customer service. I got the lemon ginger tea and Reuben. The Reuben came with chicken noodle soup and fries. The soup was pretty bland. However, the Reuben was great and came out with the hot fries. Definitely can see why it's a fan favorite.

Went on Sunday 11/12/23 at 8:00am. Not one customer in the entire restaurant. Asked for coffee and an egg, sausage and cheese on an English muffin. Sandwich came without the sausage. Returned the sandwich which came back 2 minutes later. Asked waitress if the sausage was properly cooked as 2 minutes on a grilled seemed too quick for pork sausage. Waitress replied that cook is a professional cook. To which I replied that a simple order without anyone else in the restaurant forgetting the sausage I doubt that "professional cook" applies. She " if you don't want it don't eat it". I said fine I'll only pay for the coffee. She told me to forget it and "don't come back". BELIEVE ME, I WON'T!

The place was over run by roaches on the booths and window sills. Food was only lukewarm. Definitely will never return!
