An outstanding dining experience. The food and cocktails were incredible, upscale but accessible and grounded in robust flavors. The ambience was gorgeous, beautifully lit with lush neons around the bar and periphery with delicious pockets of intimate lowlight at tables. Best of all was the team that bring it all to life. Eric and Alex took incredible care of us. They were so attentive, considerate, and warm, it truly made for a welcoming and fun-filled night. An absolute must for any birthday, date night, or any other excuse you need to eat out!

Really good food drinks and service. The best espresso martini I’ve had. All the meats were perfectly cooked and juicy. I also recommend the Brussel sprout salad.

Came in again tonight and had a great time. The last time, the manager gave my partner and I a wonderful experience, walking us through the sake menu with very insightful knowledge. The salmon crispy rice roll and sweet potatoes were favorites.
I came in alone tonight and was greeted by the same manager with so much familiarity and kindness! He even brought me a cute little lamp since I was reading my book at the bar. Had their specialty espresso martini, which was delicious, and a very well done naked and famous. (shoutout griffin!) So grateful for the hospitality as well as the quality of food, drinks, and service! p.s… don’t leave without getting the bananas foster for dessert.

This place is definitely a hidden gem. Once we walked in we were welcomed by every single person there and led to the back. You can definitely see the food being made and we got their handrolls which was good and wished they had maki rolls on their menu. The fries were so crispy and good. We also got their short rib noodles which was filled with so much flavors.

On 2/18/26, my husband and I finally decided to try Hiro Bar Izakaya, a restaurant we've always wanted to visit since we drive by it often on our way to Brasero. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We had reservations, but when we arrived we stood at the check-in desk for about ten minutes without anyone acknowledging us. After finally being seated, we waited at our table for approximately 25 minutes and no one came by to take our order. Someone did drop off water, but that was the only service we received. We understand restaurants can be short-staffed, but it was disappointing that other servers noticed us sitting there for quite some time and still didn't check in or offer assistance. After waiting so long with no service, we decided to walk out and go elsewhere. It's really unfortunate because we've always wanted to try Hiro Bar Izakaya and were excited to experience it. If this was the level of service on a weeknight, I can't imagine how it would be on a busy weekend.

Hiro Izakaya is an absolute gem. The ambiance is on point—stylish, welcoming, and the perfect vibe whether you're out for a chill night or a full dining experience. The food? Outstanding. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared, with flavors that clearly show care and quality. The drinks were strong (just the way they should be), well-crafted, and balanced perfectly. What really sealed the deal was the service—impeccable from start to finish. Attentive, professional, and genuinely warm without being overbearing. If you're looking for great food, a lively atmosphere, and top-tier service, Hiro Izakaya delivers on all fronts. Can't wait to return. 🍣🔥🍸

My husband and I went out for Valentine's Day dinner and Hiro Izakaya did not disappoint - between intimate ambiance, the excellent service, and the unique menu (I highly recommend both the salmon and tuna crispy rice), we were very pleased with our choice! The only suggestion I have is to remove menu markings that state certain items can be made gluten free as when I asked for that option, I was told they had no soy sauce substitute (which contains wheat).

The food was delicious and the entire staff were friendly and on top of all needs! We will definitely be back!

Came in to say hello to a friend and stayed for the Nimbus, handrolls, ribeye and short rib robatas (please experience!) and Hiro lager by Maplewood. Delicious!

Hiro Izakaya has a great vibe! The food is excellent - interesting interpretations of standard fare. The service is outstanding all along the way from the waitstaff and the runners who bring the food. We're going back and taking some friends.

My friends and I had a great meal here! All staff were incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in the door and our server was on point. My favorite dish was probably the short rib udon, but the crispy rice and chicken yakitori were memorable as well. Unique cocktails that I'd come back specifically for.

Great time at Hiro. "Vibes" is the best way to describe it. As a person who loves Japan and the culture, this restaurant captures the authentic izakaya experience. Our server was amazing: friendly, funny, and informative. The manager came by numerous times to get our feedback on new seasonal dishes or opinions of out menu items with new presentations (corn ribs).
