I visited Holloway's Bar for happy hour while staying at the Springhill Suites Downtown Chicago. I opted to sit at the bar. It wasn't packed, which was great, since I was decompressing from work. The happy hour menu a variety of drinks and small bites. I opted for the Love potion for drinks. It was very whimsical, yet good. I was craving something sweet, so I decided to go with the salted caramel brownie. It sounded wayyy better than it actually tasted. The brownie was hard and difficult to bite into. It was really warm, so the ice cream didn't really melt. It was pretty underwhelming. Thankfully the drinks made up for that. The service was decent and the ambiance was nice. I'd recommend this for a drink for sure!

The service is great and the ambiance is friendly. An enjoyable place to be. The waiter was great to deal with too! Very pleasant atmosphere.

Rob, the bartender, was amiable and efficient handling the crowd at the bar. I didn't eat anything, but I enjoyed my old fashion cocktail. (I accidentally pressed 5 stars) for the food but was unable to reset them because I didn't have any food at the bar.

I didn't eat here because I'm in Chicago and there's so much incredible food outside, but I will say that Jacob and Rob were incredible. Super friendly, helpful, and very attentive. I could ask them questions, and their suggestions were like golden eggs. I would 100% be back again and feel like I was meeting up with old friends.

I ordered the chicken Parmesan sandwich and it was completely burnt. I couldn't taste any Parmesan on it either. No one came to ask if everything was ok with our order which by the way, took more time to come than expected for a grilled cheese and a Parmesan sandwich. Because we were in hurry, I didn't bother complaining. The lettuce on the salad came in huge pieces and I had to go to the counter to ask for a knife which didn't come with the order. The place is good for conversation since it is not loud and it should be ok if you just order a drink. But no beer on tap. Two stars for the tater tots.

Good chill spot. Bar tenders rob and gio always on top of the drinks and go over the top to make sure everyone good on drinks and food. Wings are great. Spent 12 weeks here in 2022 and 3 weeks here in 2023. My go to stay anytime I’m here for work.
