I’ve spent a significant amount of money at multiple locations of this restaurant over time and never expected to be treated this way. When I arrived to pick up my own order, the host immediately assumed I was a DoorDash driver and asked me if I brought a hot bag to do delivery —purely based on how I look. I’m brown, and that assumption was both offensive and inappropriate.
After I explained that the order was for myself and that I was not a delivery driver, there was no apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. Just silence and indifference. Mistakes happen, but profiling someone and then refusing to apologize when corrected shows a serious lack of training and basic respect.
This experience left a bad taste, and it’s disappointing coming from a place I’ve supported repeatedly. Management needs to address how guests are treated at the host stand, because no one should be profiled or dismissed like this.

Never been here before. Had Georgia as a bartender. She was absolutely excellent. Not sure Ive ever met someone so positive before. Definite win for Homeslice. She has to be a money maker for marketing. Pizza was awesome! Easy to eat. Perfect amount of cheese and tomato. I got a simple cheese slice and the Tomato soup. Tomato soup had a little bit of a kick which is nice in this crispy cold weather of Chicago. Had a smokey flavor to it as well. I will definitely be back. Atmosphere is a 5 stars with the really cool patio. Food is a 5. Customer service is definitely a 5 Had a blast.

The food here is fantastic, and the staff is wonderful. We love the variety of appetizers, pizzas, pastas and salads as well as the fun atmosphere! We had my son’s birthday party here, and it was the perfect choice. The semiprivate room was spacious, light and airy, and everyone loved the food! Homeslice is a great Lincoln Park staple!
