We were overcharged for our meal and waited over an hour to put in our order for food. Ceviche was dry and did not taste fresh, fries were unsalted, and the mains were bland/under-seasoned and cold. One of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had.

Great place. Went on a holiday and couldn’t really get in anywhere downtown. Found this West town gem and am so happy we did. The staff is amazing. The food was next level. The space is elegant and welcoming. I’ve never had Portuguese food before - and it was an absolute winner. Our waiter was Hector, and he made sure we only had the best dishes, drinks, and experience. I’d go again in a minute.

We chose to dine at this restaurant for the first time based upon the menu posted online, which listed a mostly Portuguese menu. Further, the restaurant is identified online as "Portuguese." We were disappointed to view the menu when we arrived, which does not have many of the items viewed online. The menu now states this is a "Latin" restaurant, and the server described the menu as Mexican with some Portuguese fusion. We felt misled by the information online and encourage the restaurant to update their online information. While the food and the service was good overall, we have no plans to return to this restaurant because we can go somewhere closer to home for tacos.

Great place for Latino / Portuguese type of cuisine. Not a lot a places for Portuguese food around in Chixago the Prego no Prato (Portuguese steak sandwich) and the Charred Octopus was fantastic. In real got weather the Summer tomato salad is great starter!

Good atmosphere and decent food but the service was pretty bad. We ordered drinks and appetizers and it took almost an hour for the appetizers to come out. Several other people arrived after us and got their food first. After that we got the check and left. Won’t come back again. Felt over priced for the experience. Very warm under the tent covered area as well.

Our server never asked us if we wanted to order mains. In 45 mins it took to get our apps we were not asked once what we wanted for mains. Constantly asked about drinks.. were they just trying to extend our table bill? We ended up leaving before ordering mains as we didn't want to wait to be asked or for the food to arrive timely. Hope next time is a better experience!

Great food and great service! The only thing that was a big detractor was that the tables are so packed into the backroom making it so uncomfortable for a nice dinner. It's glaringly obvious that there are too many tables for the space. I would definitely eat here again if it was guaranteed I wouldn't be seated back there again.

Wonderful atmosphere once you walk through the door. The staff is very polite and informative. Our server was on point and took great care of us. Food was absolutely amazing! What a great take on Mexican/American cuisine. I had the yellow tail ceviche and my wife had the brunch Gordita. Both amazing but the Gordita was truly one of a kind. Would recommend for everyone to try.

Amazing happy hour, great service and sophisticated Mexican vibes in a beautifully decorated restaurant tucked away in River North. Service was so great for happy hour and we were able to sit in a comfy booth. We ordered the salmon and tuna tostadas (tuna was the fave), Wagyu empanadas, and the shrimp taco. Cocktails were amazing and made with quality liquors, even for happy hour. Will definitely come back for a dinner date!
