“Delicious broth and high quality meats and vegetables.
The water tastes weird, and if you want bottled you have to pay for it. Also their dishwasher must not be very good because a majority of the bowls/plates/silverware has food left on it“

“Loved the experience. Staff were very helpful. Food was delicious. Easy to find but paid street parking. Sake is nice and good prices for good portions. Self serve bar is a plus. It was a lot of meat for two so be mindful of your order so you not to waste so much. I would come here often.“

“A lot of options to choose from and everything besides the meat was self-serve making the experience very smooth. Would have been better if they had spicier soups and if they kept the buffet a bit cleaner but overall felt like very good value for price and would definitely return again.“

“This is a great spot. I love ❤️ the concept of cooking the food yourself and all you can eat for 35.99 plus tax. Customer Service was excellent. This was my first time, and the staff walked me through the steps. A must visit!
Vegetarian options: They also have a fruit bar, and the sodas come free while you eat. It's a 2 hour limit, but I don't think anyone will need more time. You can order other beverages at a reasonable price. And it's kind of romantic for couples.
Parking: P
They have 2 places you can pay for parking. One covered & the other not covered. I paid the meter for 2 hours, $5.71.
Kid-friendliness: Yes, kids are welcome, but I'm not sure if they have a kids' menu price, so call ahead and check.“

“We had been going to the old Chinatown location for many years till the new places opened on Halsted. Really liked the self serving style. Staff is friendly and food is fresh with lots of choices. Price is great. The new restaurant is spacious and well ventilated. Very enjoyable dining experience.“

“I like it very much. You can choose how much Malatang you want to eat and whether to eat vegetables. It is suitable for supplementing vitamins when you want to eat more vegetables.
A bowl usually costs 15-20 knives for me, 20+ if I'm very hungry.
The service attitude of the guy in the store is pretty good.“

“Love this place! Build your own spicy Mala noodles (or you can choose soup) with a great selection of meats, fish balls, veggies, tofu, etc. They add peanuts to the mix FYI for anyone who may be allergic but adds the perfect crunch. Great affordable option in the downstairs food court!“

“We had a great meal here! The food was super fresh and tasted amazing. The seafood, especially the octopus and shrimp, was cooked just right, and the broth in the soup was so flavorful and comforting. Everything was really well-prepared, and the service was friendly too. Definitely a spot we’d come back to! ❤️ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5“

“The broth was delicious. Worth the experience if you come with a big appetite but little pricy for a normal eater who doesn't eat much. They only give you 90 minutes.
Kid-friendliness: If you want to pay $30 for packaged noodles for a child, be my guest.“

“Only the crispy chicken bones are delicious! I ordered another one!
The other sauces were weird (the sauce for fish tofu and chicken skin didn't taste good at first bite). Mutton skewers or beef skewers, one is delicious and the other is not. Bacon and enoki mushrooms, the bacon was delicious, but a few bunches of enoki mushrooms lacked flavor/were not too cooked.
The grilled cold noodles are average, but I'm too hungry, and the egg and ham sausage is indeed delicious, but it's not as good as the one at the school gate.
Grilled eggplant, eggplant won’t taste bad! I’ve finished eating it anyway!
The garlic crayfish has no taste. I feel that the crayfish needs to be spicy.
Qingkou, are you okay? No special impression.“

“First time ever dining at this type of restaurant. My husband and I really enjoyed the food and service. It was a little overwhelming to gobin blind without knowing what to do. But the staff was kind and answered all of our questions.
We ordered to brother. One spicy and one mild. I usually like spicy food, but had to take a break. The spicy was spicy!💥🔥🔥
For meats we orded wages, garlic chicken, and shrimp. We ordered broccoli and noodles as well.
Very tasty meal and great date night idea.“
