I'm not someone who salivates at the sight of cakes, cookies, brownies or other baked goods. I can take them or leave them. More of a candy person. But when I have good cake, I reevaluate this stance. And House of Cakes has pretty good Strawberry Custard Cake. Kudos to you for making me pause over my Cake versus Candy belief.

A very sweet longterm client of mine was thoughtful enough to bring me a gift of these delicious brownies to me this afternoon.

I took only three bites 🫦 and they were extremely filling, satisfying and most importantly baked with love. These taste like something your grandmother or mother would make for you. Definitely not processed junk but rich brownies and I'm saving it for later ♥️ to enjoy.

If you love authentic Italian pastries and are in Chicago, you really need to stop by House of Cakes. My daughter brought home there famous cheese sticks, 4 days ago and they are still amazingly soft, in the box. We also had tried there cookies, there consistency with there ingredients, is superb. I will definitely recommend House of Cakes to everyone, stop by and try, you will not be disappointed. Stay safe and healthy.
