The NYE Dinner at Il Carciofo was incredible. All of the courses had a bountiful of flavor packed into it, it was almost pure insanity. One of my favorite places for sure! Some of the best old fashioneds in the city—PLEASE keep them on the menu, I am hearing they may be discontinued!
The best of Rome and Chicago all in one. Kale and pear salad was typical but delicious medium-to-high-end Chicago restaurant greenery. Pane bianco was way tastier than it should have been. This was a very enjoyable dinner. The staff were friendly, professional, and quite attentive. The space is lovely and the light level is just right. The pacing is slightly fast for my taste, but not pushy by any means. As for the food, well it is quite good. The namesake artichokes were good.
