Food was cold. An item was missing and when I called to ask they said they just refunded us. They should have called to let us know they were out of the item... Miso ramen was VERY salty!

Ramen is always delicious but they never have clear hours of operation posted anywhere which is really frustrations. One time I order something for pick up via Yelp they accepted the order but when I got there they weren’t even open.

This review is for a visit to this spot several weeks ago, in the middle of phase 1 lock down for covid. The owners are EXTREMELY friendly and the atmosphere they created looks like it will be amazing once we can fully reopen. The food however! The food was absolutely delicious! Cooked perfectly, then packaged up individually (broth separate from veggies etc) and when we got home and put it all together it was amazing! I love this little spot and now that live on the other end of the city, I will travel to come get some for sure. It is one of my Top Five ramen spots at this point!

Good ramen, great sushi, and exceptional service! I want to come back and try a rice dish. The restaurant has a very fun and casual atmosphere.

Finally a solid ramen place in the neighborhood. I am so happy I got to try Isshin Ramen House a couple of weeks ago because I loved it. Such a cute little spot, very welcoming and right beside the Bryn Mawr CTA Red Line Station.

Great new ramen place, awesome service, and lots of choices on the menu. This is now my go-to place when I’m in the mood for ramen.

Their broth is good, actual long cooked bone soup. I think their noodles need about 30 seconds more cooking even though I love chewy noodles. However, the flavor of the meat in the soup is all there, and it’s not covered up by excessive garlic or other seasoning. I’m not used to teriyaki sauce in my croquette, I prefer tonkatsu sauce on it. It was my second visit and I look forward to going again!

I've gone here a couple times now. Glad this opened a couple blocks from my home. They have many varieties of ramen - which I'm looking forward to trying all of - and a good selection of sushi. You cam also pair your ramen with a selection of sides for a few dollars more. The staff is really nice, and the place is clean. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Quality broth and tasty ingredients make a well balanced and flavorful bowl of ramen. Recommend takoyaki as well. Fresh and crunchy. Friendly and personable customer service as well. Overall wonderful dining experience.

Really nice place with reasonable price. Great ramen and sushi. Now it's our favoitite edgewater ramen spot.

Honestly not very tasty. It’s clear the reviews are fake. I cannot understand why they would get rid of the pita place and bring a noodle restaurant a few feet from 3 other restaurants where you can get better quality and taste. Poor business decision.

This is the best ramen shop in Chicago. The chashu was perfect – soft meat but crispy edges. The noodles are perfect – just a little bit chewy with good texture. The broth is drop-dead good – they make it in house and it's full of flavor.

Best ramen in Chicago!! I had the black garlic tonkotsu and it exceeded all expectations - better than any other I’ve tried. The broth was flavorful, the pork was slightly crispy on the edges and soft on the inside (honestly I don’t think I ever really enjoyed pork so much!). I also had some agadashi tofu and it was obvious the oil was fresh - just very impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the care taken to insure everything is authentic.

Brand new ramen spot that recently opened in Edgewater and it's a welcome addition. I've been here twice and the food has been stellar both times. I've had the fire tonkatsu level 3 (out of 5), which was crazy spicy. Like, sweating profusely and my wife asked if I was ok, hot. It was good but not for the faint of heart. My wife had the regular spicy tonkatsu which I liked a lot, not too spicy and great flavor to the broth.
