“You need to get to here! 🍜 This #hiddengem recently made Infatuation Chicagos list of best ramen places in the city and they’re the only ramen spot staying open until 1:30am! Yes, you can still eat good, late. The Japanese food here is to be enjoyed in their izakaya vibes, which are casual pubs that you can grab lots of small dishes to sample. Honorable mention to the Chicken Curry Ramen and Taiyaki with ice cream - my two favorite items from my visit! I also had a really good Mai Tai and lychee martini. Go check them out for some good food and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!“

“Tried this place as it was recommended by a friend, and it was amazing! The cocktails were inventive and delicious, and the food, was SO good! The fish was so tender fresh and delicious! Even the rice was so sticky and great I could’ve made a meal of it. I feel like this place is a current hidden gem that once the word gets out, will be booked up months in advance with good reason. Go here tonight!“

“Best sushi in town. The service is impeccable, the food presentation (& taste) resembles art, and the vibe/ambience is chic and intimate but also inviting, upbeat and relaxing. The staff is attentive, warm, helpful, knowledgeable and kind. 5 stars! ⭐️ 🌟 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ hidden gem of Chicago!“

“loved the cozy atmosphere of this place. went with a friend on a saturday night (with a reservation) and they told us service would be slow because they were understaffed - it was not slow at all
we tried:
• lychee please cocktail
• toro tartare
• chicken karaage
• shio pork belly
• tako nuta
• takoyaki
• hamachi nigiri
• sake nigiri
toro tartare and shio pork belly were definitely the stars. toro tartare was delicious, and it had a perfectly soft & buttery texture. shio pork belly was juicy and flavorful with a tasty sauce drizzled on it
the chicken karaage and nigiri pieces were dishes that i could tell were quality, but not necessarily for me. the ginger flavor in the chicken karaage was too strong for my liking, and the nigiri pieces had strong wasabi flavor, which i don’t personally like
overall a very pleasant dining experience that i would definitely recommend“
