About TenGoku Aburiya

TenGoku Aburiya is a popular spot in the city known for its delicious Japanese food in a cozy atmosphere. The staff and kitchen team are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes, including fresh sashimi and ikura, as well as small portions like agendashi tofu, chicken karaage, kushiyaki, chirashidon, and sushi rolls, so guests often leave feeling satisfied but not overly full. Customers praise the sushi, especially the Kuma and Shrimp Tempura rolls, which are generous and perfect. The restaurant's focus on both Korean and Japanese cuisine reflects in the quality of their fish and menu. Chef Park is highly skilled, and the head chef at Tengoku is almost as talented, creating outstanding dishes that keep visitors eager to return. Highlights include the chicken skin and a sake pairing meal that was highly recommended. While some skewers like Chadol enoki might fall short, dishes like Shio Pork Belly and fresh nigiris are well-loved. The sesame pudding dessert remains a must-try for its creamy texture and sesame flavor. The cozy environment, combined with high-quality dishes such as toro tartare and juicy shio pork belly, makes it a great place for a casual yet satisfying Japanese meal. The restaurant also offers a variety of noodle, rice, and sushi options, all of which are fresh and tasty, with small bites in their bento boxes and favorites like Gyudon and Spicy Butadon. Overall, TenGoku Aburiya is a very good choice for quality Japanese food in a comfortable and casual setting.

The maki selection is more limited but having tried most of them throughout the last 6 months they are very...read full review

Brunch options are very limited at this price.

Quaint restaurant with good food! Language barrier was a bit strong and she kept forgetting my request for a glass of ice but everyone was very nice.
