“I came in from the cold like an after work refugee. They tucked this homely Otaku alone in the corner.

I had been past this restaurant, on my way home from work, day after day promising I would go inside one day. On thus particular day I received an email reminding me that tomorrow is not promised so I took a chance and walked in the door without the reservation. (Make the reservation, sit with Chef he knows what you need).
I ordered the Tako Yaki as a starter, the Chefs Choice Nigiri Set for one and the lychee please cocktail.
I know you are looking at the pictures, enjoying the beautiful display thinking 'no wasabi no ginger'. It is not necessary. Take a drink of water between pieces and...the pieces already have wasabi in them. No trying to figure out how much to put on or putting to much annoyed with the prep work. I told you, Chef's got you. Sit down and trust the process and enjoy. I finished my meal with a Strawberry Mochi. Michelin can't be every where but they missed this place. (I am not throwing my glasses like Jordan, they cost too much, but this mochi is worth it!)“

“Great restaurant with large outdoor patio and friendly staff. Got the drunken noodles, which were amazing. We've also had ping yang platter which I would totally recommend splitting among friends. The drink selection is solid the mashed avocado coconut smoothie was so unique. I don't think I've ever had anything like this before.“

“The Sushi was fresh, the flavors were bold and the rice was fluffy. Will be back for sure and the staff was so friendly and welcoming.“

“You need to get to here! 🍜 This #hiddengem recently made Infatuation Chicagos list of best ramen places in the city and they’re the only ramen spot staying open until 1:30am! Yes, you can still eat good, late. The Japanese food here is to be enjoyed in their izakaya vibes, which are casual pubs that you can grab lots of small dishes to sample. Honorable mention to the Chicken Curry Ramen and Taiyaki with ice cream - my two favorite items from my visit! I also had a really good Mai Tai and lychee martini. Go check them out for some good food and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you!“

“The food and service were absolutely amazing! Everything was delicious, and the service was excellent. It’s just a shame that the place was so quiet during lunch. I really hope more people discover this place and that it gets busier, because it truly deserves it. Highly recommended!“
