Staff a little off, could be more polite. But it kinda goes with the edgy vibe of the place so it’s cool. Sandwich was ok. Wish there were more vegan options. They have tofu but i didn’t see a sandwich on the menu that has it. Coffee was incredible. Liked the atmosphere.

Good in a pinch but I’ve brought friends here before and on two occasions the staff left the coffee out of their lattes and just gave them hot milk 😂

This place is great, very cool inside, the staff are super nice / funny. The environment is also great, it’s huge inside and there are multiple rooms with different types of sitting. Definitely a place to go work. We got there around 10:30, there were places to sit and people were coming and going.
The coffee was good, I got the Jolly Green Giant, it was great, good hummus, fresh vegetables. My child got a donut, he liked it.
My partner got the breakfast sandwich, cyclops, it comes in a bagel but the bagel is less large than normal bagels which he said made it easier to eat and was a nice balance. He also got an Horchata latte. Which he loved and smelled good.
Overall this place hits!
Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids options, loud, nice environment for kids

The lady making the coffee is rude !!! I used to love coming here but I guess I’ll go to the other amazing coffee shops in Bridgeport. It’s a coffee shop we’re all tired but handle your attitude and it was not busy at all.

Jackalope is my go-to for a chill coffee run in the Loop. Their lattes are fire — nice and strong, with just the right amount of froth. I grabbed a panini the other day, and honestly, it hit the spot; crispy on the outside and loaded with flavor inside. The vibe is real cozy, with a cool mix of colors that just makes you wanna stay. Prices are pretty reasonable, usually about $10-15 for a drink and a snack. The staff’s always friendly and efficient, which makes the experience even better. If you’re looking for a solid spot to fuel up, this place has you covered.

Asked for a drip coffee and instead got a cup from one of those big silver coffee warmers.

I’m a local who’s lived near Jackalope for many years. The place is fine if you like gentrified coffee shops but I think it’s a shallow excuse for a local cafe. I’ve gone here a few times and every time I’m disappointed by my experience. The staff always treat you like they’re trying to get rid of you as fast as possible, and they hardly make eye contact or even say anything besides “what do you want.” And it’s never busy when I go - it just seems like the staff hates people. Why would you work at a coffee shop if you don’t like talking to people?
Plus, the sandwiches and coffee are subpar. My drink was more than 50% ice, and they forgot to add the syrup I wanted. And I still got charged for it. I used to like the Jackalope sandwich, but this last time I was so underwhelming I let my dog eat it. I’ll probably never shop here again, because why would I want to spend my money at an establishment that 1) doesn’t respect my time, and 2) doesn’t even taste that good.
The only redeeming quality of this place is that it seems to sell local artists’ artwork but there wasn’t any advertisement making it clear what the art was.

Had the dirty horchata and it was good. Cinnamon forward, less so on the ricey starchy goodness of a horchata. But it was fine. We also got a breakfast sandwich and the signature jackalope sandwich. I was shocked at how small the sandwiches were. The breakfast sandwich was okay, just a little small. The jackalope? I don’t mind paying $8 for a sandwich. But not when it’s two pieces of thin bacon, one thin slice of tomato, and a small bit of cheese and jam. It tasted good and was very fresh, and I loved the pretzel bun! But there was nearly nothing to the sandwich. Maybe we just had an off one, idk it’s possible! The vibes are good. This is definitely a cafe where you can hang out and either work or chat with friends. So that was appreciated.
This is one of my favourite places in Bridgeport. I have met a lot of people here, I have finished a few books here and spent a lot of time at this shop. The staff has always been pleasant to me. The ambiance makes Jackalope an eccentric place. This eccentricity is what makes this place better than a lot of other cafés.

This is my favorite place to come despite the servers who most of the time make me feel uncomfortable. They push you off and don’t really care to make you feel welcome. In the years I’ve been coming I met one very friendly server and never saw her again after that.

Wow! This really is a very special place! A design that you will not find anywhere else. Photos can show it better, but it looks like a movie set with all kinds of colorful props. They even sell merchandise. It is a series of 3 buildings and each room looks different. Many people work with their laptops, but homework is also done there. The coffee and sandwiches are really tasty and also healthier than the standard sandwiches you can get here. You will hardly find goat cheese anywhere here. There is also plenty of room to sit outside.
