Ordered the paella and was not impressed at all. The shrimp were like bait shrimp (small). The drinks seemed watered down. Service was descent but the food was not at the Jose Andres quality I have previously experienced.

Jaleo Chicago is quickly becoming our go-to place for dinner and drinks. The food and service are consistently excellent, and the restaurant seems to be well-run by competent and caring staff members.

Had Jose's way. Everything was excellent and great spirit pairing. The salad was pure tastes of summer in Spain. And the pork loin was perfectly seasoned and accompanied by suaces. Great experience

I had a great brunch at Jaleo. The food was delicious and the portions were just right. The aperol spritz was refreshing and paired well with the food. The restaurant was a bit empty, which was surprising for a Saturday afternoon. I guess the cold weather in Chicago kept people at home. However, this also meant that the service was fast and attentive. The bartender was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. He gave me some recommendations for other dishes to try next time.Overall, I had a wonderful experience and I would definitely come back. This place is great for tapas lovers.

Fun spot! Service was great. The fried bacon wrap dates were amazing. Peppers stuffed with goat cheese also delicious. Loved the sangria. Disappointed with the paella. The chicken in it had a lot of bones and very little meat and the rabbit was overcooked.

We wonderful evening out and a couple minor issues dropped this down to a 4 star. We choice to do the special Valentine's tasting menu and a few of the dishes were not quite as described, ordered, or just a little on the salty side. Also a nice surprise was that Wednesday's, Jaleo was offering 1/2 price wine bottles which we could not pass up. Our server was very knowledgeable and steered us to a dry rose which was aerated while poured.

I had a busser take away our plates and silverware. When the next course came had to wait 10 minutes for the server to show up again to get new plates and silverware. The food was decent, over priced for what it is, but decent. Very acidic. Presentation was very good. I'd rate this place overall between 3-3.5

It was okay, I know paella isn't easy and maybe my standards are high. But I've had paella in Spain and this just made me miss it more. There wasn't a soccarat, it was just burnt a little in the bottom. The papas bravas were okay, but just not the same. And the croquetas de pollo were good, but I was super surprised that they didn't have croquetas de jamón as that is a super standard thing in Spanish cuisine.

Although the staff were very kind and friendly, the food was not really good. Most of the food was cold (the croquetas, bravas, and others were cold) and very small portions (for example: 8 olives $7 ) The patatas bravas were the worst patatas bravas I have eaten in my life. Quality, quantity, and price was not in line. It is not a good place for business dinners.
