Fine dining is absolutely trash. It just gives an excuse to increase prices. They are charging the atmosphere to a less casual experience. We liked the hidden aspect of it and affordable. We wanted a mixed culture experience not just one thing. They removed all Russian dishes from the menu witch absolutely pissed me off because that's the only reason to even come there 😑

So good!!!! We got borscht, shorpo lamb, guro lagman (a handpulled noodle dish with lamb), boorsok (little pillows of fried dough), and plov, and everything was amazing. Very cute and comfortable interior, most tables have a booth side, friendly and quick service from our server Sabina. Reasonable prices for very large portion sizes. The guro lagman was a total standout. We will be back here the next time we’re in Chicago!
Amazing food! Huge portions! Classic central asian cuisine!
We travelled from Seattle just to try this😍. Ordered Lagman, Plov,.Borsch, tea, samsa and dessert! Everything was delicious 😋

The name of the business changed and probably the ownership changed. The quality of the items sold is good, but the prices are extremely high.

Simply one of the best culinary experiences Chicago has to offer. Stop hunting for expensive restaurants that will scam you by serving small Americanized plates and try a local gem like this one!
All of the dishes are exquisitely spiced and prepared. The chicken tabaka was cooked perfectly. I’ve had the manty on a separate occasion and they’re probably the tastiest dumplings I’ve ever had. The roasted potatoes have a delicious flavor of butter. The single most impressive thing for me is probably the plov. Even the tea was great. There is no skimping on good quality ingredients here. Special thanks to Sabina for the hospitality and great service!

Best food on the north side! If you’re looking for a new cuisine to try, without taking a risk, try this out. Even the table bread is worth coming for.

It was my friend and I's first time at Jibek Jolu, and the food was phenomenal. We ordered the Manty, Plov Lamb, Boso Lagman, and a slice of the honey cake. Everything was delicious and well-prepared, and the service was great! Will definitely come back to eat again

Amazing menu with a great range of options, and excellent quality food. Highly recommend! My dining partner's favorite was the samsa. We also liked the plov and the pumpkin dumplings. Can't recommend this place highly enough! :)

This place is off the charts good! I first tried their Glenview location last year and completely forgot to post a review. I had no idea they also had a spot on Lincoln Avenue in Chicago—what a great surprise!
Ever since my visit to the Lincoln location, I’ve been craving a return. The menu is full of unique and interesting dishes, but what really stands out is the quality—fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and perfectly balanced infusions. It’s honestly next-level.
Try the eggplant appetizer, the Nomad Skewers chicken and lamb kebabs w/ Plov rice and Pelmeni dumpling soup. Also, must try their Tashkent tea. Honestly, if you are adventurous, you can’t go wrong ordering anything off the menu.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and while the space is small, it’s beautifully decorated, authentic, cozy, and spotless. The needle point upholstery gives it a truly charming touch.
Parking was easy in Glenview, but fair warning: the Chicago location is tougher due to nearby construction, so bring your patience—it’s worth it.
Highly recommend!
