John's Pizza is the best since I was a kid and I cant believe they closed without having my last pizza. I believe they can make pizza in that little hot dog stand across the street. Where ever they should move to I will be a loyal follower.

One of the best old school Chicago thin crust places there is. My family hosted ten adults and a bunch of kids the other night at our house. We got two football pizzas from John’s and we were good to go. Fed the whole party for like $60. Long live John’s pizza.Vegetarian options: Good veggie pizzasKid-friendliness: Good stuff for kids

This staple of the neighborhood is closed. The owner was supposed to stay open for 2 more weeks but due to his greediness and not wanting to pay his staff he closed the restaurant. He screwed the cooks and wait staff. He didn't even tell the staff until the doors were closed. Good riddance. Maybe the neighborhood will get a better owner or business it deserves.

Fantastic Pizza - sad to see them close! The 1 star Review is to warn potential folks looking to get their last pie that when they say, "It'll be ready in 45 minutes" means that it'll be ready when it's ready and asking when that is when you arrive in 45 minutes will lead to nothing. After wasting 25 minutes in a line of folks in similar circumstance we called it. Shame we won't get one last pie but time is worth more than pizza. To the guy that waited 45 minutes AFTER arriving at his 45 minute mark - WE SALUTE YOU!

They weren’t supposed to close until the end of the month (as all the tv reports say). But, when I came to try their pizza for the 1st and only time, I find that their phone line kept giving me the busy signal and when I got there there’s a sign they permanently closed due to “no staff” (prematurely). You could’ve put a recoding on your voicemail saying so instead of making people drive all the way here to find out. So goodbye and good riddance #ByeFelicia.

The best minestrone soup I've had this side of the Mississippi. The spinach lasagna was excellent and very filling, topped with a phenomenal gravy. I will definitely be returning!

Their thin-crust pizza is a Chicago northwest side staple. How many of us grew up eating this pizza? John's isalways going to be a part of Chicago's legendary list of pizza.

Great pizza place if you are looking for Chicago-style, square-cut thin crust. Served in a bag with a bottle of water, this no frills pizza hits the spot. My go-to.

Good tavern style pizza. Definitely order for delivery or take out. The pizza is delicious but I wouldn't want to eat it in their dining room.

The best tavern style pizza in the city. Always a classic staple. People are also very friendly

Had to give this place some props as it deserves a higher rating than 4.3. This is hands down the best square cut, tavern style pizza around Wicker Park. If you're looking for wood fire, artisan pizza...look elsewhere. But this pizza is fantastic...I order it about once a week hahaMake sure to get it well-done!

The food from John's never disappoints! I admit, I usually order it after being over served and beer a late night pizza delivered but it doesn't matter what I order, it's always delicious and delivered quick! Also like that their pizza gets delivered in a paper wrapper that goes inside their cardboard box. It does a great job of keeping the pizza hot without it tasting soggy by steaming in the box.

I've lived in Logan Square for 17 years, this is a great local pizza place. The style is the thin and crispy crust tavern style square cut. Not quite as thin as Pats, but in a similar vein, this place is a little less salty than pats, and pizza comes on a cardboard disc wrapped in paper, old school. In Chicago the good places have their own sausage blend, and this place has a good one. One of my go to pizza deliveries in the area, along with Armands, it just depends on what kind of crust I feel like.
