All of the food items chosen were excellent - fried okra, deviled eggs, jerk chicken tacos, smothered datfish, smothered pork chops and beef short ribs. The portions are generous . All of the drinks were good as well and were not watered down as with many restaurants. The server was also very attentative and accommodating. An overall great experience

I booked a NYE reservation just hoping to try out a new place and there was zero disappointment! Food - delicious. Portions - generous. Variety of menu options - plentiful. I'll back to try more entrees.

Took the waitress 30 mins to get to our table only two other tables inside restaurant... service charge automated on every bill! Is why they don't give good service.... We made the best of it! But I would really appreciate good service when I'm out spending money and time with my family

Had a noon reservation and arrived at 11:55. The door was locked and had to remain outside in the very cold weather until 12::00when the door was unlocked. Initially the server was prompt but not always easy to find subsequently ( I also noted that a couple was seated after us but got up and left after several minutes when their server did not reappear. Food portions were generous, but not especially well presented for the price. Finally, I made the mistake of adding a tip without checking the bill and only found out after leaving that a tip had already been included in the total. My mistake on my first and last visit to this restaurant.

I ordered Lamb Chops with collard greens and dressing with gravy 10000/10000 Drunk in love Hennessy drink 100/100. Our server Jay had excellent hospitality loved it definitely made us feel welcome made my girl feel special for her birthday well done Jay!!! đ

Service was great from start to end. Food was pretty good besides the pot roast it was swimming in fat. Greens were awesome short ribs were pretty good. Alfredo was good. Drinks were great. Restaurant was clean and really nice and comfortable booth.. Love the positive words on the mirrors Great photo spot. I would go back for happy hour. Server and host were awesome we enjoyed ourself. Thanks again to the staff they made us feel at home and even did a song and dance for my husband's birthday. Loved it.

Server never asked if we needed anything after passing us at least 3x. The server who goes by the name of Jay who was working the bar where no one was sitting was inexcusable. The place had only 8 guest basically empty. Had to request a bag the ticket and the lemonade. This is what happens when 20% gratuities is added on before service . Also to be out of certain food before 430pm is unacceptable.Way overpriced way overpriced.

âïžâïž 2/5 Disappointed with My Experience at Jordanâs Soul CafĂ© (Hyde Park)
I really wanted to enjoy my visit to Jordanâs Soul CafĂ©, but unfortunately, the experience didnât live up to expectations. While our server provided phenomenal service, the overall dining experience was frustrating.
The kitchen was extremely slow, drinks took quite a while to arrive, appetizers came out separately 5 to 10 minutes apart, and entrĂ©es didnât come for another 30â45 minutes. Despite the delays, the restaurant enforced a strict 1Âœ-hour seating policy and rushed us to leave, even though our group spent nearly $500 on food and drinks.
To add to the frustration, a 20% automatic gratuity was included on the bill. I donât mind tipping well for great service, but when the timing and pacing of the meal are so poorly managed, it feels unfair.
Overall, while the service staff did their best, the kitchen delays, rushed seating policy, and mediocre food made this visit very disappointing. Sadly, I wonât be returning.
