Our experience at Cantina Rosa was wonderful from the service to the food, drinks, and ambiance. Our server, Brenda was knowledgeable and attentive. We ended up staying from open to close and the staff was consistent. We will return.
It was a quiet night in there. We sat at the bar and got a couple cocktails each and shared a few plates. Was impressed with all. Yumm. Surprised to see this only have 4.1 stars while being so elevated.. drinks n food were anything but ‘bar food’. Class. Loved it.
Finally, a good and well run restaurant south of Pilsen. The cocktails are excellent (top 10 I've had in my life), the food was great, and the service was not only attentive, but informative...our server taught us about the origins of the Mezcal we were drinking.
The only thing I would change (I know I'm being picky) is lower the price of the Tacos from $7 to $6. We'll be back!

Cantina Rosa is a cozy cocktail bar in Hyde Park with a limited but fresh menu. The decor is adorable and creates a nice vibe, especially in the cozy booth areas. The bartenders are knowledgeable about the drinks and menu, with Anthony providing excellent service and helpful recommendations. The drinks have depth and are not watered down, making them great for a night out. The food menu is limited but features flavorful options like guacamole, empanadas, tamale, and ceviche, all fresh and with a hint of spice. The guacamole with chips is freshly made and really good. The venue is dimly lit and attention to detail in the decor adds to the cozy atmosphere. Customer service is top-notch, with attentive servers. It’s a perfect spot for drinks, a date night, or a night cap, and definitely worth a visit.
