Came for the lunch oxtail special w/ extra gravy and double side of Mac. All this food came well seasoned. The lady at the counter was pretty chilled with her gospel playing. I’ll be back.
I’m bias because this is my neighborhood jerk but to be fair all my jerk dinners have been on point. Rice and peas are a solid base and the spice of the sauce is the best compliment. Even the mac is even decent. Don’t have to trust me - Not like I’ve ever gone anywhere.
Stopped by Just Jerk Cafe on 79th and grabbed the jerk chicken dinner for $11.75, which came with mac and cheese and cabbage. The chicken had that smoky flavor I love, and the sides were solid. Only downside was the wait—took about 20 minutes, and they were out of beef patties. But the food hit the spot, and the staff was friendly. Spent around $15 total.
