Khyber Pass

Found this spot via yelp when my dad and I were in the nearby area for a quick shopping at the bicycle shop. He insisted on finding Indian curry for lunch so I looked it up, and surprised to find one right around the corner! I'm a big fan of the Chicago food scene because there's so many more opportunities for Indian restaurants within a small radius. Came in for dinner as I had heard a lot of good things, and was overall left with a meh feeling. Came in one evening recently and ordered a simple staple of butter chicken and garlic naan. First, let me say the naan was amazing. Light, garlicky, and just all around amazing. The chicken however was almost tasteless with very little flavor or spice. I've been meaning to try Khyber Pass for some time now. I had lunch there today and everything was great! I ordered 2 samosas, chicken curry and a mango lassi. Chicken was tender. Curry sauce was very tasty. The samosas were packed with perfectly seasoned vegetables. Lassi was delicious. Service was wonderful. I met the owner and he was very warm and friendly.
