I should have read the reviews about this place serving old fish before I came here. I'm sitting here and Kinzie chop house. They served me a rotten lobster roll that smelled so bad both my assistant and I almost threw up. We sent it back immediately. When the bill came I had to argue to get it removed and was told that it was fine..... What the actual F*ck??? I'd love to see that server eat that rotten mess. I've had a lot of lobster rolls... it's my go to at any nice restaurant. They should never smell like homeless P**sy .... The fact that the staff thinks this is acceptable tells me what the standards are here. I was so looking forward to a nice lunch with my assistant. The lack of customer service here is astounding. When we got back to the mart we were told that this place is awful and no one goes there that works there because they've all had poor experiences there. Either the chef is trying to kill people here or he clearly has lost his sense of smell. That was the nastiest dish anyone has ever served me. I am so grossed out right now. I've washed my hands a dozen times and I can still smell the decaying rotten fish smell on my hands. Omg No thanks.

Used to love coming to this place on Valentines day but after this last one we won't be going back. The Valentines day special was over priced and they only had it as a tasting option. The choices they selected were not to our liking therefore opted for regular menu. Went with the tomahawk which was big enough to share and requested it medium but when we got it was rare and had to send it back not just once but twice. The service was slower than usual and I was not a fan of the seating. When we got the bill I couldn't believe how over priced and what's worst no offer to at least provide a discount for their error. We had leftover but when got home realized they didn't pack the bone which is the best part! It's just not worth going back.

Our server, while attentive and friendly, charged us for food we did not order or consume. When addressed with the issue, his response was “I would have to go downstairs and reopen and reclose the tab” therefore we had to pay for food we did not get. He also claimed to have substituted the sides we wanted with other sides, however the sides we wanted were more expensive than the ones we got, and he charged us for the more expensive ones. I usually don’t make a big deal about stuff like this but when the sides are over $14 in addition to a $70+ meal, the cost adds up. Plating was also terrible, they have cheap white plates and just throw the meat onto them without garnishings or anything. Disappointed, I’ve had better service and playing at local mom and pop shops. Save your time (we were at this place for four hours!) and money and go somewhere worth spending your money at!

One of the servers had a terrible attitude. He Was scared to even come and tell me that the French fries were not coming after waiting for 45 minutes and after him telling me that they were able to make the fries. He never checked in with the kitchen if they were able to make it or if it was going to come or not. We initially had a reservation for the dining room but opted to sit and eat at the bar because a nice table wasn't available. We were told that the kitchen was "overwhelmed or really busy" so there would be no alterations to any menu items. We ordered a salad, the octopus, and two soups and everything was cold and almost inedible. The manhattan I ordered left a lot to be desired as well. When we left, we immediately went somewhere else to have dinner. We couldn't let this awful dinner end our beautiful date night. I can't believe $130 was wasted on such a terrible experience. I will never come back to Kinzie Chophouse again.

Wait staff was excellent and friendly. I'm sorry that I can't say the same for the people greeting guests lat the front door. I found them to be rude and distasteful. The food was not very good. I will never return. This was one of my favorite spots for business luncheons and dinners for many years. I'm sorry to see the drastic change.

Unfortunately the service was not great. Upon being seated, we waited 20 minutes for a server for cocktails. One was walking by and we ended up asking them. It appeared our server had too many tables or they were sharing tables. He was quite rushed and never acknowledged the wait - which we would have been fine with a simple sorry for your wait. No one went over the menu or were available for questions. Disappointing. The steaks did have a lovely char to them and were good, the potato puree was great, and the grilled octopus appetizer. Service needs to catch up to the food

We had a delightful evening. The food was amazing, the service just as good. They were happy to split the meal for us as 16 ounces of the best sirloin I've ever had was more than enough to feed the both of us.

I'm not one to write reviews but the service/management was God awful. Surprised they're still in business considering there are plenty of better options in the area. I've never had a manager laugh in my face and refuse to take the dish that was asked of him numerous times. Honestly the list goes on and
