KOHOKU-KU RAMEN CHICAGO

Don’t know how this place has to many great reviews. Spending your money is not worth at this place. I dined in a couple weeks ago and was very disappointed. I tried again (I ordered pick up this time) and gosh it reminded me pretty well why i didn’t like it the first time. TINY PORTIONS not relative with their pricing. Your ramen comes with the thinnest pork slices I’ve ever seen in my life. The 2 times I tried their squid was like RUBBER. We also got undercooked chicken Karage. SALTY SALTY SALTY edemame :(. Half an egg in your ramen mind their $18 bucks. Barely any broth. And the takoyaki was just so sad. They are 3 massive balls of dought with like 2 or 3 bits of octopus.

The place looks so pretty. But their food it’s sad.

Ordered spicy ramen, it was tasty, but the portion is criminally small. There is no restroom, and tables for pairs are very close. I like the street style decorations though, they look cool

Another great restaurant that has gone downhill. Less portions than there used to be. Paid for extra Chasu for $3 and only got half of a slice. Server said the extra was there but three and a half pieces doesn't sound like extra! Even my buddy who didn't order extra had 3 pieces in his. Chasu pork bun had hardly any pork filling. Used to be a nice big piece of pork. Food still tastes great but definitely not worth the price when it's just broth and noodles!

The curry is too thin and has no flavor profile, I ordered the curry ramen and while the beni shoga was fantastic, the rest of the dish was incredibly bland. I have yet to try their tonkotsu or other ramen but the impression was not great. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is very cute, but that's about it.

KOHOKU-KU RAMEN CHICAGO is such a unique and delicious find. Their ramen is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, while their pizza has a fresh, crisp crust and tasty toppings. It’s rare to see both done so well under one roof, but they’ve mastered it. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is attentive without being rushed. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to when I want the best of both worlds.

My bf was having a bad day and he was craving some Ramen so he showed me the spot where he used to go when he lived in edgewater. Really good Ramen! And super kind people!

Excellent food, fantastic atmosphere, just wish they actually had physical menus. We had to scan a QR code, which led us to a website that was hard to read, and not accessible.

It's a smaller place, but beautiful inside with very kind staff. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious and extremely flavorful. We tried the gyoza, karaage chicken, corn korokke, and Ebi Ramen. Highly recommend.

Don’t order uber eats from here. They consistently declined my call. Didn’t tell me they canceled my order. Until I got through on the 4th call. They canceled my order and I still got charged 4 bucks
