We drove 3.5 hours from the SW corner of Indy to give them a try. Mostly hits (calamari, short ribs adobo small plates), a couple meh (milkfish was pretty dry, crab cakes made from canned). Great calamansi juice and a wonderful staff. Will try again next time we are up on Chi town.
I don’t get to eat Filipino food often when going out where I live (Ironic since I’m Filipino), but this was amazeballs. Good service, good food, and fair prices for the quality and portions you get
We wanted to try something new and picked Kubo. So glad we did! The food was great! We shared a couple appetizers and a couple entrees and all were flavorful delicious. There was a big party behind us that was getting a family style setup. Everything was set up on the table for them, it was beautiful! It's a cozy place but the lighting was a little dark for my taste. I had to use my phone light to read the menu.
