La Cebollita is fire. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Walt is very friendly. They cook the food fresh and ready to eat and they maintain the restaurant clean. Amazing tacos. Must come back. 10/10.

I've been going there for almost 2 decades and the quality of food and service is always great. All my fellow co-workers frequent this place!

La Cebollita is the perfect spot to start your day, and my experience there was absolutely amazing. I ordered two al pastor sopes, and they were a total game-changer.

The sopes arrived golden and crispy, with the edges perfectly crunchy while the center held all the vibrant flavors. The corn base was soft but sturdy, providing the ideal foundation for everything that followed. Topped with a layer of creamy beans and melted cheese, each bite started with a rich, comforting base that made the sopes feel so satisfying.

The al pastor was the true star. The meat was tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. Each bite released a savory, slightly smoky flavor, with the seasoning coming through beautifully. Hidden in the background of each bite was a subtle sweetness from the pineapple, which added a perfect balance to the richness of the pork.

The sopes were topped with crisp lettuce and fresh tomato, bringing a refreshing contrast to the warm, savory ingredients. A generous drizzle of homemade salsa added a bit of heat, complementing the flavors without overpowering them. The combination of creamy beans, melty cheese, fresh veggies, and the rich al pastor was a symphony of textures and flavors that made each bite a joy.

This meal was a great way to start my morning, leaving me completely satisfied. La Cebollita's al pastor sopes are an absolute must-try, and I’ll definitely be back for more!

La Cebollita never disappoints! I got the Carne en su Jugo, and it was absolutely delicious perfectly seasoned, tender beef in a rich broth with crispy bacon and fresh cilantro. It’s the kind of meal that warms you up and keeps you coming back for more. Plus, I love stopping by in the morning to grab their homemade tamales before school they’re always fresh, soft, and full of flavor. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food in Chicago, this is the spot!!❤️🇲🇽🫔🥣

I am mexican & I want to be 100% honest , if you like mexican food , do not come here! The tortillas were extremely dry. The chips tasted like they were 3 days old & rice & beans felt extremely cheaply made . I just wanted to let everyone know there are better restaurants im the north side .

Wow... this place has fallen off... their tacós de asada used to be soooo good. They've bought cheaper meat unfortunately and it shows. Probably won't be going back.

Got my food decently quick during lunch. Overall a decent spot to get a bite to eat and they have pretty quick service here. Nothing bad to say about what I tried here and would possibly try this place again.

Won’t be ordering from here ever again. There was hair on the pozole we picked up, called and said they could only change it. Very unapologetic, unprofessional and rude.

Ordered a simple burrito and fries for my 1st time eating from here, and I must say I will NOT be going back to this place. The burrito was small for $10-12 it costs and the fries were softer then mashed potatoes, not a little bit of crisp. Just soggy, on top of being called 10 min after my placing order to see where I was to pick up my own order. WON'T BE GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE NO MATER HOW CLOSE IT IS TO MY JOB!!

It is a very quiet place to have breakfast, personally I like to order tamales and champurrado, I order rajas, greens and guava.
I also ordered a pastor taco which was delicious by the way.
A very curious fact is that they still have a Quarters phone inside the establishment, I don't know if it still works, but it was very interesting to see it

Parking: The parking lot is on the side of the place, it is not very big nor small, it is just right for the capacity of people occupying the restaurant.

Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately it does not have wheelchair access ?
