La Josie is my favorite spot to come to for birthday celebrations. She’s a bit pricey but the food and service is always impeccable so it’s definitely worth it. You can never go wrong with the drinks and enchiladas here. I’m still dreaming about the Al pastor trio 🤤. The ribeye Auguachile was delicious and the camarones a la diabla were good as well, but the sauce reminded us a bit of Valentina hot sauce which was interesting. Although the food, ambience, and staff is good. The prices have gotten so high it causes to rethink coming here as there are many other similar restaurants around. $32 for three asada tacos feels like price gouging. Over $10 each is bizarre, and to add to this they have a 3% surcharge to every check.
We came here with a large group for a bimonthly dinner meetup. They were able to accommodate us easily. We ordered some guacamole for the table and while I don’t like guacamole, I’m told that it was very good. For my actual meal, I had the asada tacos which were fantastic. Every bite was a burst of flavor. Lastly, we had some churros for dessert and those were a hit. It was a great call to make this our location for dinner.
