Been ordering here for years. The food quality is amazing, and extremely consistent!Beautiful, quiet patio. We asked and it is also BYOB! Great for the summer evenings. The service is no-frills (it’s a neighborhood spot, not an overpriced Wicker Park eatery - I hate reading these reviews from those who lack the competency to simply pay for their meal then cry about it). Also I proposed to my partner here two years ago ☺️.
10/10 empanadas 10/10 tres leches cake Absolutely fantastic, great service, cute interior!!! Hidden neighborhood gem

Stopped in here for lunch and we are so happy we did! The coffee, beef empanadas and sandwiches were all incredible. I really enjoyed the sausage sandwich. We took a piece of tres leches cake home and WOW! It was fantastic. We will definitely be returning!

Went to Chicago on a business trip, and I decided to try each night to go to a different Argentinian restaurant since I was born in Argentina. All went good until Wednesday night, when I went to La Nonna. I was the only one since it was 6 PM. Food was okay, but the problem arrived when I went to pay. My corporate card requires a pin to be put in when I pay for anything. The server wanted my pin and when I told him that I couldn't give him the pin since it was a company card, he got aggressive and kept asking for my pin. His solution was for me to get onto the counter top and try to reach the register to put my pin in. I think this unprofessional behavior is unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects quality service. The food was ok, the service was bad, I don't recommend it to anyone. The employee tried several times to get me to provide him with the pin code of my credit card and when I told him that it was not okay for him to ask me for it, he recommended that I stand on the bar and try to get to the posnet on my own. The employee's behavior was not professional at all. I traveled to Chicago for work and visited several Argentine restaurants for a week, by far this was the worst. Sorry Sergio, supposedly this is the name of the owner, who knows.

The service is always great, the food is even amazing. I am in love with their beef empanadas the inside is cute and they have a little outdoor area as well for when the weather is nice. I have been going here for 3 years and will keep coming back for more! Cutest neighborhood restaurant!

Hidden in the neighborhood, this spot is amazing for empanadas and sandwiches. Don't forget your coffee and save room for dessert.
I had to go to the counter, twice (TWICE) because first, they wouldn't take my order. They knew I was there but they were with their cell phone in their hand for more than 25 minutes. I approached the counter to order and they looked at me extremely badly, and on top of that they even bothered taking my order. I went back to the counter to ask if everything was okay because the food was taking a long time, and within minutes they delivered it.
