We ordered 4 different items. Everything looked amazing, but the taste was rather disappointing. The amount of sesame seed, chili, and oil was overwhelming and unbalanced. There was also something acidic that i couldnt identify. The pork dumplings were delicious, but everything else was just OK.

The best broth and dumplings I’ve had outside of China. This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. I absolutely love the pork and dill dumplings, the wood ear mushrooms, and any of the bings. Is there often a long wait? Yes. I recommend getting there an hour or more before you want to eat and then get a drink at one of the bars nearby (golden years or Cleo’s are great options). Also, their food is still great for take-away which is what I often opt for. The only reason I can imagine LPY has less than 4.9 stars is because of the wait and hangry people not able to handle the spice.

So, so good! The dumplings in broth were amazing, which is what I came for, but also the cucumber salad was the best I've ever had. I order/make cucumber salad all the time, so that's saying something! The flavour was perfect, I wish it was always as good as that.

This restaurant is one of those places you could walk in and have your whole life changed - in a good way. The food is always consistent which is hard to come by in some restaurants but this place always delivers some of the best noods around. You can't go wrong with anything. Bring a few folks with ya and share a bunch of different things. However, as good as their food is, waiting to get a seat could sometimes be a bit of a hassle. If you do take the food to go rest assured it will stay warm and last all the way home. Do not snooze on this place!

Was told to wait by the door for the hostess to be seated, after waiting 10 minutes and being ignored by the hostess with the septum piercing, i finally went up to the counter again to see how long the wait was going to be. the hostess was nothing but rude, told me i need to wait by the door to be seated with an attitude. I informed her that we had been waiting 10 minutes already and no one had greeted us, she then walked up to my friend ignoring me, and asked her how many. She told her she was with me and then the hostess said we were going to have a 45 minute wait. No mind you she had already seated three different groups who walked in after us. Very disappointed i drove an hour away and paid for parking. My friend and I left as we didn't have time to wait that long.
