Loved the atmosphere. Wall decor was really cool. Self-serve water. Tables have a small cup filled with napkins and utensils enough for each table size. Pork and chive dumplings were so tasteful. The peppercorn in the beef sauce noodles were tongue numbing, and I loved it.
Its been 4 dishes now and i can officially say this place is great. Very legit Chinese flavors. Little hipster-like so don't expect the best of service like fine dining but it doesnt matter. Take the time and have a nice dinner here or get togo.
Very fresh and high quality ingredients. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles. I like spicy food and it was a great level of spiciness. Filling.
10/10. No notes.
Lives up to its reputation!
Very chewy noodles and dumpling skin, I love how much they lean into the cilantro!
Everything was way too salty for my taste. Honestly, I’ve had much better food at the same price elsewhere. It’s not worth it, especially if you have to wait an hour for order. I won’t be coming back. Maybe I set my expectations too high, but I was really disappointed.
We got the beef noodle soup and the beef & green onion dumplings. The broth, which is the most important component of these two dishes, was disappointingly bland and lacked complexity. The dumplings had thicker wrappers, which worked well in a bowl of broth. They were decent but not flavorful enough to save the broth, which offered little beyond a strong vinegary taste. The house-made noodles were satisfyingly chewy and silky. However, its broth came through strong only with the numbing Sichuan peppercorn but missed all the rich and umami flavors of a beef broth.
Awesome little spot - busy on a Friday night but if you get there before 6 your wait is probably less than an hour. BYOB some wine and enjoy the noodles and dumplings. The sweet tofu dish was just okay, but the bread, noodles, and dumplings were fantastic.

The antithesis of a Chinese restaurant. The only thing they got right is all the food is covered in oil.
Delicious dumplings with a tasty broth. Could use more Szechuan pepper for a more authentic taste (compared to what you get in chengdu). Good portion size. They pay their employees health insurance which is nice to know and should be part of other restaurants.
