So glad I had the chance to visit Lawry's before their departure. Server Jeff took excellent care of our party. The prime rib was the best I've ever had before. To just sit and take in the ambience of it all was exciting but also heartbreaking. Will really miss this place.

So sad this place is closing. A true Chicago staple. Excellent prime rib. Atmosphere is literally like nothing else in the city. So sad to see a Chicago staple leave.

Classic Old American dining. Food and service are top notch as expected. Quiet atmosphere. Restaurant has everything to recommend itself.

We loved this place! Mrs. Parent was very informative. The food was wonderful. Too bad this place is closing and I wish we would've enjoyed more visits to this place. You've provided a lovely evening for me and my love. Thank you for your great food and wonderful service.

Sadly this was the first time here. All their cuts of meat were delicious. I had the filet and it was delicious. The cheese cake was also good. I do hope they don't close for long.

We both ordered the English cut and both were 1/3 Fat. We use to go here every week. The servers all have changed they no longer carve your prime rib table side. We were very disappointed I think that Larry's prime rib will be off our list

We had a reservation for dinner tomorrow, Saturday. Received a message that they had to cancel our reservation and to call them. I did. After a few tries someone answered. Apparently, they had a water leak due to heavy rains the last few days and they have to do "construction". They had no other weekends until closing, but they did open up Mondays. After thinking about it for a moment, I asked how they were able to offer reservations Monday when they were under "construction". He stated, "SIR, THERE ARE NO RESERVATIONS". I asked for the manager and he told me, "I AM THE MANAGER". Well, at that point I told him that was unprofessional. Love to say I won't ever go back there...but they are closing.

The ambience was great. The food was just okay. The steak was cooked the way I like it but the flavor wasn't there. My dessert was not as expected either...

I told my mom I would treat her to dinner for her birthday. She said I really would like a REALLY REALLY GOOD Prime Rib Steak. So I heard Lawry's was closing at the end of the year and we haven't been in so long and enjoyed the last few times. So in a nutshell she got her wish! Thank you to our waitress Ms. Parent & our carver Albert for outstanding customer service! Everything was delicious from the melt like butter prime rib to the creamed spinach to the creamed corn to the mashed potatoes, to the salad, to the yorkshire pudding. An let's not forget the Chicago Sunset and the Raspberry Beret Cocktails. And to top it off her Raspberry torte birthday cake. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM & THANKS LAWRY'S FOR YOUR AWESOME SERVICE - Chicago will miss you

Thanks for a wonderful experience to an end of an era. Sad to see this place close after so many years. The drinks were awesome. Just right amount of blueberry and lime to make the drink feel like the beach. My prime rib good but could've had just a hint of fire to it for medium rare. Nevertheless, it was delicious. Memories will not be forgotten.

Warning for your Car Valet by White Star Parking Services trying to say you parked longer than 3 hours! The Valet "owner" as he called himself clocked us in a half hour before we even arrived! I would have goven Lawrys 5 stars in not for the negative experience we had with their Valet vendor. Lawrys Food was to die for! Every thing inside the building was exceptional! Get your reservations asap before they close 12/31/2020.

Very disappointing. Cuts are the prime rib were much smaller. side dishes especially the baked potato were not the proper temperature. And the pricing was outrageous. $480 for three people to dine. We have line there many many times over the last years. So I think we're in a good position to judge the dinner.

Get here while you can!! Snagged at B-day ressie and was fed like a Queen! If you are going to go, do it right and get the Prime rib. The dinner is classic and the prime rib is carved in the dinning room, and is absolutely delicious. They can accommodate no matter what temperature you like it. I ordered medium rare. The dinner also includes the spinning salad table side presentation, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. For an up charge you can upgrade your side. Trust me the scalloped potatoes are worth the price of admission!! Service was just as exceptional! We were. Welcomed in warmly and they pulled out the table for the round booth so we didn't have to do the booth scoot! They also dressed the table with a beautiful red satin birthday sash and really made the whole dinner feel special!
