I’ve noticed that it’s surprisingly hard to find good matcha in Chicago, and many coffee shops don’t offer it at all. This place does, and it was delicious 💚 I prefer my matcha strong, so I ordered it with a double shot. It had a deep, authentic flavor, was perfectly whisked with no clumps, and the portion was very generous. The staff was lovely, and my order was ready very quickly. Highly recommend!
Service is so slow. It should not take 45 minutes to make a chopped salad, or 20 minutes to make a coffee. They are seriously understaffed.
Okay, I admit I was skeptical about the prices at first, but the portions were generous and everything tasted really fresh. We left feeling like we'd gotten good value for the quality.

Layla & Ringo's is a popular and busy coffee shop with a line that moves quickly. The menu has plenty of options and the wait for an order is around 10 minutes. Customers enjoy drinks like the strawberries and cream latte, the iced maple spice latte, and the blueberry pie latte. The iced maple spice latte has a good flavor that is not too sweet. The salted chocolate chip cookie is absolutely perfect with crispy edges and a soft, chewy center. The staff provides attentive and friendly customer service. The space has plenty of seating for people working remotely, including a few tiny cubby-like private rooms for privacy.
