The food was pretty good. This place is now down the street from the original place which was much bigger. Portions are big & the hostess was delightful. They still have a small parking lot across the street on the Southside of the street. The food was good although the cost is a bit pricey but worth it

This used to be Lazos's tacos, but whatever it is now is great. The steak was cooked perfectly. We ordered Tacos, fajitas, and mariscos. The steak was a good cut, and seasoned well.Order any dish with steak and you'll have no regrets - tender, juicy and flavor is amazing. Likely, my favorite Mexican spot right now...

Pay the bill with Credit Card or Cash HOWEVER Tips are CASH Only!!!Definitely a very good place with traditional Mexican dishes. Quick service. No pics provided but the taco dinner was worth it.A bit of a challenge for handicap access in the entrance but people also willing to help.

I dont wanna give em no stars. Had to dine in like it was take out. Had to get my own silverware. Over priced for the three baby taco dinner and over iced margarita. 30 mins to make my order. And was told this is wicker park what you expect.....shocked. What was once a childhood spotis now a memory.

Maybe the best tacos in the universe - I met my wife at Lazo's and it will forever be our sacred place. te amo te amo

I was not impressed at all with the food the portions for the price las Fuentes charges was that of a toddler eating 3 tacos canned beans and unflavored rice I'm actually disgusted they're even in business the waitress could not get it together she messed up our tickets and our food offered no salsa was not on top of bringing water! mind you we were a total of 25 plus people we spent a lot of money here and we will never go back we had to ask them to turn the air conditioning on it was so hot and humid inside and I mean come on 20+ dollars for a plate the least you can do is give good customer service and have the air on if we wanted to sit in humidity we would've sat outside the lack of bringing water to the table the dirty dishes and the chips are served in a bag a freaking bag and the salsa was in to go cups and watered down for the 600+ dollars we spent I'm highly disappointed and I do NOT RECOMMEND LAS FUENTES expensive and the food was awful not authentic at all this place gets no stars and please do not dine here its not worth it at all!

Used to love Lazos, but the new place Las Fuentes is insanely over priced. Can't just order some tacos now, you have to order an entire meal which is ~$18+. They no longer make carnitas as well. Sad to see it change, I get that inflation is high but this is a bit much.

this place isnt the place it used to be. first the biggest change , price. the prices are outrageous. 18-27 dollar entrees . i understand if chef ramsey came and did a make over and improved the quality of the food etc. but the food is the same and i would even go a step further and say worse. I ordered queso fundito which came used to come in a huge taco shell with cheese in the bottom and chorizo in the middle with tomatoes avocado. This entrée used to cost $7 2 years ago. I ordered it the other night it came in a little ceramic bowl that would hold salsa no tomatoes no avocado greasy as hell and it was $13. so the food isnt better and the prices are insane even for adjusting to inflation and they took steps to cut corners in addition thinking the regulars wouldn't notice. finally the service was lacking the waiter just disappeared and you wouldn't see him unless a new customer with Poppin. This place used to be the spot was my favorite when I lived in Bucktown but I guess the money they got from the pandemic they just used for cosmetic things and nothing else not to mention the horrible fluorescent lights that are on full blast in the restaurant to kill any kind of ambience. So if you're used to the old Lazos this is not it. Be expected to pay $20-$30 per person for a 3 dollar taco. Queso Fundido Con Chorizo

So been a while eating at Lazo's so not sure when new ownership by Fuentes. That said it did not taste same maybe just me, food OK but Fuentes (to me) had better food but has lost something (to me) not really a destination but if I'm in neighborhood and want nice sit down. Lazos was a very casual relaxed place w/ table srvc, no frills. Fuentes is part of a night out w/ friends, fam or a date. That said. Please stop w/ QR code menu unless you are changing menu that fits on a phone screen. Stop w/ virus excuse you should be cleaning menus after each use even prior to pandemic, basic cleanliness.Chips in a bag for that put on a plate use $$ for real menus???This one is strange and you should have your staff inform people only bottle pop but I may just missed looking at my sm phone menu instead of a real menu. I order a coke and get a $4.50 bottle of Coke, pricey but some only do small bottles of pop seems to be sneak restaurants are starting to pull these days. I ask, waitress says only bottle no fountain. Thinking later how do they do their mixed drinks this place has or had bands on other side. Hard to believe they are using only bottles cost of drinks would be really high & inventory space needed. In any event would have been nice to know under new mngt so we could have decided if wanted to stay guess we could have left but hungry and really wanted it to be same or close to it. Not sure if will go back 50 bucks for 4 tacos, Mex coke and a queso fundido we liked going here food was good, price was good and yes I'm taking into acct cost of goods, inflation etc etc. Regentrification also equates to higher prices wish White Castle was still in neighborhood but not the gangs. I will miss you Lazo's peeps good luck and for New Lazo's I don't know for the cost could have gone to Fuentes, for the price I should get the full experience.

Been coming here since 2005 n now new owners . Service was trash n I paid 69 bucks for 5 tacos , rice , menudo !! This used to be my favorite Mexican restraunt and they lost a long time customer . I even called the manager to express my shock . Nothing done . Bye !!! Only reason I put two stars is because tacos were mediocre n menudo was good

No longer Lazo's.Bought out and rebranded as Las Fuentes.Higher prices and worse food than Lazo's.What was once a $30 meal for two with drinks at Lazo's is a $70 meal for the newly rebranded and price raised Las Fuentes with smaller portions and worse food.Do not recommend. Go next door to Arturo's for better tasting and better priced food. There is no redeeming qualities to the twice as high price. Not worth it.

This restaurant is not Lazos anymore. It's a new one, new menu. Food was cold, chips in bag with no plates offered, drinks were watered down, menu was minimal. They lost a lifetime Lazos client today.

Disgusting human beings and business owners. Sat and went to use to restroom, when there, I asked for a garbage to throw my used tampon in (since there were multiple signs to not throw hygiene products in the toilet) the manager made ME carry the garbage to the bathroom. Halfway through my own carrying the garbage from the kitchen to the women's restroom. I realized it wasn't my job and told him he could carry it. He became indignant and rude. Later as I passed by he asked me how my lunch was I said " I would never eat here" and he replied "good, we don't want you here"

I went with 16 people on Thursday evening mostly everyone ordered the same Carne Asada (skirt steak) with rice and salad (instead of refried beans and rice). We had many pitchers of strawberry and lime margaritas (be careful because they pack a strong punch). Out waitress was very attentive and nice. The guacamole and chips were also delicious! I will be back
