Want to go back in time for some Chicago-style Cantonese? Lee's Chop Suey is the place. Excellent quality and perfect recipes will take you back to a great Chop Suey of the 1960s. So glad I found this place, I miss my Cantonese restaurant in San Diego...but not anymore!
Ownership change?? The food has not been the same this summer(2025), visited x2. Picked up order, live 2mins away, same order for past 5+ years. Food was lukewarm, not steaming hot like usual. The rice was ok, but not as flavorful as before. General tso chicken was soggy on bottom and crunchy on top. Staff was friendly. Mainly an FYI post to the regulars who were used to the previous chef/owners food. It's ok, it's fine, but not the same. I'll try again in a few...
The first time ever walking in this place the people where so nice and sooo friendly they gaved me great experience and as a first timer. The food was delicious and not so heavy on the stomach, which i loved since some places make where yoy want to go to sleep right after. Overall everything was good, friendly and good experience
