We went to check out this place in search of authentic Mexican. Given the location we knew we were on the right track. However, imagine our surprise when we walked in the place was a mess. We hesitated to sit down and order but after seeing some decent reviews (there was nothing here on TripAdvisor...), we stayed. The restaurant was upfront about not separating checks as they had signage at the door. We ordered knowing one person would pay. We were caught by surprise again when they brought out one dish and could not remember what the other was supposed to be. They eventually brought it out but it took some time. They also failed to make my coctel de camaron hot as I requested. It was cold and I had to send it back. The worst part of the visit was a trip to the restroom. I wish I had gone in there first as I would have immediately left. It was a disaster. When I went to pay the bill they gave me the total. I added a tip and left yet remembered to ask for an itemized receipt so my friend and I could settle later. When we got back to the hotel I saw the restaurant staff had ADDED GRATUITY!! They said nothing and I added something at the time because it just does not feel right leaving nothing. In this case the food was lackluster, the service and facilities awful, yet the staff saw double the tip..... I will never visit this place again.
