An all time spot in the city. I live a few blocks away and the creativity and consistency of Lobs blows me away. Had a sweet potato miso carmel blondie this morning, one of the best things I’ve eaten period.

Beautifully designed space, unique pastries and great coffee served in handmade cups.
I love the no laptop rule. When I went on a recent weekday the person to my right was journaling and the person to my left was knitting. Other people were chatting or reading.
It really changes the vibe of a place when people are relaxed and happy vs. frowning at a laptop.
I felt free to chat with my partner because I wasn't worried I was disrupting the work of a neighboring customer.
You can find cheaper coffee/pastries elsewhere, but I'd definitely rather spend more and have a special experience. Considering the quality of ingredients, Loba is a great value.

Came here on a Sunday at around 9:30am and there was a line but moved quickly. We ordered their mole croissant which had such a good balance of chocolate with the spices. The lamination of the croissant was also great! Also got the latte with corn milk although I didn’t taste much of the corn. Great cute cafe and would def recommend!

Very small space with limited seating but the pastries were absolutely incredible and I loved the Wolf Spice Latte (their fall special). The smoked vanilla latte my husband ordered (not pictured) was also delicious and so unique!

Maybe we went in too late and there were barely any pastries left. We had a cheddar biscuit and it was awful. So sad as I’ve heard great things about the place.

This is my all time favorite coffee and pastry place in Chicago. I wouldn't miss visiting whenever I visit Chicago. The pastries are out of this world and I recommend checking it out without hesitation. I wish I could get all their recipes but I'm sure wouldn't be able to replicate it anyways 😃. Their service is super professional and I'm always impressed! I'm heading to Chicago next week and I'm really looking forward to dropping by!

This place is the best pastry shop in the area. Everything is so unique, service is quick, and the coffee is tasty. They come up with the most unique combinations of items and most of the time you will never see the same thing twice. The flavor combos might not be for everyone but even if you don’t love the item you got you have to agree that they are each a work of art, incredibly creative, and just plain fun! Highly suggest everyone to try at least once. Be warned that it is a very small space with limited seating so I would suggest getting your order to go!

This place is perfectly simple, knows what it's doing and they're doing it well. The seasonal marigold latte was slightly floral tasting while not feeling too heavy with syrup or like the drink was trying to hide the flavor of the espresso at the foundation. The peach & cardamon Kouign pastry was beautiful looking and even better tasting. Crunchy on the exterior, gooey/fruity/flavorful on the inside and a rich buttery flavor behind every bite will have me coming back. The atmosphere is minimalist but very finely done with clear thought behind things. I expect to be returning on this trip and my future trips to Chicago.

I’ve never been disappointed every time I come and visit. This time I tried the cheese scone, a cheese kouign aman, and a peach cardamom kouign aman . I wish they had more space to accommodate more customers that want to linger.

I went to Loba at 10am on Halloween (Friday). I was surprised that there was a line of about 15-20 people inside! The line did move efficiently, and they had a stainless steel refillable water station for the fold waiting in line. I love the dust ability aspect of the coffee shop- reuse able stainless steel cups for water, perfectly steamed milk temp so no additional sleeve needed. It’s a very small and cute coffee shop. The tables were all being used- some for eating and chatting, others drinking lattes and reading books. I also love how the pastries are being brought out as they are ready. They must’ve changed to 3-4x different kinds of pastries as I was waiting in line. I ended up getting an array of pastries to share with my family. I purchased sourdough pumpkin strusel muffin, sourdough pineapple muffin, sourdough banana chocolate chip muffin (best muffin!). I also bought a honey crisp apple pastry, peaches and cream pineapple grout cherry danish, Cajun cheddar biscuit, and Emmie cake which is like a crispy spiced cake with seasame seeds on top. For coffee I tried the seasonal wolf spice latte and it was really good. Would totally go back. Support this sustainable, small, small business!

What an incredible disappointment, I got the chipotle biscuit and after two bites it was so incredibly salty I couldn’t eat anymore. I also got the vegan pumpkin muffin, the taste was OK, but the consistency on the inside of the muffin was more like a flan than a muffin. It was very oily and clearly undercooked. This place is extremely overrated, overpriced, and a complete disappointment 🥺

'twas worth the two train rides! I ended up visiting two days in a row, even though it wasn't remotely close to my hotel.
Ceramics are gorge, but plates for pastries could be bigger.
