Great food & service. There was a guy taking photos (most likely advertising), which threw us off a bit.

Lola’s Restaurant and Bar is easy to find and sits just off Randolph St. in the West Loop (we definitely appreciated avoiding the congestion on Randolph on a Friday night!) The statement-blue “Lola’s” awnings on the front of the building are easy to identify. Surprisingly, there is plenty of inexpensive street parking right on Carpenter St. through the ParkChicago app.Upon entering the restaurant, we peeked through a luxe red velvet curtain and arrived to the artful setting, exposed brick walls, upbeat tempo of atmospheric music, and welcoming face of our hostess. She quickly seated 5 of us at a spacious table whilst my husband fiddled with his parking app. It just so happened that the owners of Lola’s were sitting by the entrance when we arrived, when one of the most amazing displays of hospitality occurred! The credit card associated with my husband’s parking app had expired, so he was quickly trying to update his payment profile when one of the owners came right up to him and said, “I’ll take care of that” and dashed outside to read our license plate and pay for the parking personally on his own app! What a welcoming!Upon being seated, we were offered our choice of beverages. While most in our group ordered from the extensive selection of sparkling and other wines, I was intrigued with the variety of “zero proof” beverages (that can be spiked upon request). I highly recommend the Tropical Turmeric & Ginger Old Fashioned. The fresh ingredients are amazing, including the giant, square orange blossom ice cube that gives the drink a warm orange glow and mild sweetness that balances out the tangy turmeric and ginger flavors. This is actually about the fourth or fifth time I’ve dined at Lola’s, and the main thing that keeps me coming back is the quality and freshness of the food. The menu has something for everyone. Although I’m not a strict vegetarian, I can attest that there are plenty of options for those who don’t eat meat, chicken, or fish. Bar none, my favorite thing on the menu is the Crispy Brussels & Sweet Potatoes, which melt in your mouth! Our table also enjoyed the Greek Chicken Skewers, which were surrounded by scrumptious home-made hummus that we all scooped up with the tasty, crisp, seeded crackers that accompanied this appetizer. The House Meatballs were also a hit—again, surrounded by a delicious marinara and served with large pieces of grilled bread for dipping. For dinner I ordered Lola’s Salad with grilled chicken. It was a decadent portion filled with unexpected surprises like fresh cherry tomatoes, toasted sunflower seeds, garbanzo beans, tidbits of spicy genoa salami, and zingy pickled peppers. I will be coming back for this one, which is a great choice for lunch or dinner. Definitely don’t skip the fresh parmesan on top!Although we were satiated by all the great food, we couldn’t resist the dessert menu. We gleefully shared a giant, warm chocolate chip cookie served in a dinnerplate-sized cast iron pan, topped with a cool scoop of fresh vanilla ice cream. Our server did not disappoint by having individual plates, spoons, and even extra napkins at the ready! All in all, Lola's is a great experience and an excellent value. Some of us brought our extra food home--I'm looking forward to leftovers and adding it to my favorites on Uber Eats!Vegetarian options: Fabulous selection of vegetarian dips, including spinach & artichoke and home-made hummus. DO NOT SKIP the Crispy Brussels & Sweet Potatoes! Also great pasta and salad choices.Parking: I've never had a problem finding parking within 1 block of the restaurant.

I recently moved to the West Loop area and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. Despite its discreet exterior, the charm and warmth of the place caught my eye every time I passed by. Today, I decided to stop in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised to find they were open. I'm thrilled they serve lunch, especially since I work from home, making it a perfect spot for regular visits. The menu impressed me with its outstanding variety - comprehensive yet not overwhelming, offering a bit of everything from salads and sandwiches to pastas and even a rare find like Pork Milanese. The restaurant's interior is both beautiful and serene, with ample lighting, exceptionally friendly and attentive staff, and tasteful design. Give it a try and support them so they stay open for both lunch and dinner!

Overall I was very disappointed by Lola’s after seeing such high reviews. Our medium rare steak came out well done, the cookie we wanted wasn’t cooked through and was mostly raw dough. The burger was also not served with lettuce for us. The cocktails and fries are great and service was good. I wish I had the courage to return food but was overall disappointed by the food we received.

Randomly popped in here on a self proclaimed “espresso martini bar crawl” and am so happy we did! The staff is hands down the best I’ve experienced in the city, everything we’ve eaten has been amazing (espresso martini included), and it’s relatively easy to get a spot at the bar. 10/10 recommend!

I went to Lola 's about a week ago with couple of my coworkers. Im giving 1 star because of the cheap management. I heard the food and Drinks was very good so we went to try it. end of the night Not even Once the manager who was working that night didn't came to check our table. We felt unwelcome will never be coming back.

Great food. Great atmosphere and even greater drinks and service from our bartender Evelyn. She was very attentive and the drinks were amazing. By far one of the best old fashioned I've had. Will definitely be back again. -D. M. Houston

Our server was wonderful and the atmosphere was cozy for a Chicago winter night. Unfortunately, the food was unremarkable. Nothing was bad, but everything seemed to lack seasoning or the flavors didn’t meld well together. The whipped ricotta was very sweet and with the honey and the shaved candied orange made it taste more like a dessert and didn’t mix well with our cocktails. The Pork Milanese was touted as their best dish by our server, but it came out unseasoned and overcooked. The other entrees were also just nothing special. Would I come back? For the cocktails or happy hour, sure. But not sure for dinner…

Beautiful restaurant with a lot of potential - great service. Unfortunately, my wife’s crispy chicken sandwich and my pork milanese dish were significantly overcooked and under seasoned.

Awesome menu, beautifully designed and fantastic service. I went there twice in the same week I liked it so much. The Lola salad is really delicious for lunch and the four of us that ate dinner ordered different things and we all loved our meals.
