I have been dreaming about trying a Princess Cake ever since I saw it on Bake Off (aka The Great British Baking show). It is incredibly hard to find, so imagine my delight when my husband told me he found a place in Chicago that makes them! We went around 1pm on Saturday, the place was busy but they had indoor and outdoor seating so we got a table pretty quickly. Lots of fresh baked goodies and delicious looking smor breads. Lost Larson was kind enough to make my husband and I’s wedding cake. The caramel coconut crunch coffee cake is outstanding! They also offered seasonal fruit to decor which added a gorgeous touch to an already delicious cake. Thank you so much!!! Best bakery in the city.

Unfortunately the cardamom bun was not like the authentic ones you would find abroad. Very flat and barely any cardamom. Neither was the princess cake which had a lime green color to it (supposed to be bright green) and was overly sweet.
