Great venue. Great vibes! Love their half off arcade games on Wednesdays and live DJ Saturday nights
Amazing staff Great environment Good late night vibes .. Will be back :)
Sad not what it used to be. But better than other places. Just plan on getting searched at the door.
I was sad when I found out that there were only two gender options when you select your gender When bowling. This place is not inclusive and I would suggest not giving them your hard earned cash. One hour of bowling is 65+ 8 per person for shoes.
Pool was cool, food was ok but they charge 18% building fund what is that about
Got put out for having food from theater
Was about to bowl but got cut short
Not as good as the wrigleyville one. Found it strange that you have to close the tab with the same server who opened it, which meant we had to go on a manhunt to find him (what if he'd finished his shift?)
Fun location with arcade and bowling. But they will auto grat your bill and not tell you at the bar
When we asked for our check for food and drinks, they didn’t present a receipt; they simply told me the total and arrived with a tablet. It wasn’t until after I asked for a receipt that it was texted to me, which you can only get after the payment had already gone through. That’s when I realized an 18% service charge had already been added to my tab, even though the waiter had still asked me to tip on top of that.
I have no issue paying a service charge for a large party, that’s expected. But the staff should be honest and transparent about it, not ask for more without mentioning the charge was already included. Most customers wouldn’t know unless they specifically ask for a receipt, if they can even get one.
This doesn’t feel like an honest mistake, it feels like a tactic. Since the extra tip is calculated on a total that includes the 18% service charge, a 20% tip actually ends up being closer to 23–24%, and when combined, you’re tipping over 40%. That’s just not right.
To make things worse, the bowling lane we were assigned had a malfunction where it randomly skipped the second throw in a turn, counting a single roll as a full turn and moving to the next player. It happened six times during one full game for our group of six. They eventually moved us to a working lane, but it’s an inconvenience and interrupts your game flow, and your time you paid.
I spoke with the manager at the end, Ivan, who said he would process a refund for the duplicate tip but only asked for my name and email, he said he couldn’t process it on the spot, which sounds like bs, but whatever I will update once I receive my refund. One thing for sure is I won’t be coming back and I’ve been at this location many times.
I hope management takes this seriously. It’s not just unprofessional, it’s dishonest and careless.
EDIT 6/17/25 they refunded me the extra charge.
Is it kid friendly
Kid-friendliness: I've never been here

I came to Lucky Strike for a company Christmas party. I would definitely recommend renting a section of this place out if you want a private party because you get your own bowling lanes, pool tables and waiters/ waitresses and food. Service was exceptional with the open bar and food was presented for us to serve ourselves with plenty of plates, napkins and utensils. Clean up and service was exceptional. They also have plenty of Arcade games that you can play but wasn't included in our package. They have security that check bags and you go through a metal detector so safety is no concern. I would definitely come back here for any type of event.

Being in the heart of downtown Chicago it makes sense why this place was so very costly but the bowling alley we had glitched a few times. Often we were not sure if the alley was working correctly. The associate who come to correct our issue had an awful attitude and snapped at us for asking if we could get some of our time back since we had a 15 minute period where we could play. I'd definitely look at playing somewhere else with better customers service or value even if it costs more if the alley works well and doesn't glitch it would a better value than not so lucky strike.

A large group of us came here as a business function and the staff was friendly, the lanes worked well, and the place was decent. Food was OK and the drinks were nice. The music was kind of all over the place, as it was matching the music videos that were playing on the screens, but then it started being something else, which was odd. Service was decent, but there were times we had to wait for someone to place an order with. Overall, it’s a decent spot for bowling.

They charged me $31 for one double shot drink, that is the most expensive double shot I have paid for and I have been to A LOT of places! They also charged me a 18% service fee. The place has been changed from the previous FTW to a new set up, it is not better in my opinion and has insanely over priced drinks. Please let me know if the price I paid is incorrect or if you're just price gouging.
