Place is a bit dated. Neat Bodega with imported snacks that you probably can't find at a Marianos or Jewels. I usually get a loaf of bread on the weekend and slice it at home for whatever I need during the week, but today I stopped in for tacos.
As good as the cart guy I typically go to and his are super authentic al pastor on the spinning roaster with the pineapple on top. Sauces were spicey both green and red. Was pleasantly surprised as Mexican food around Ravenswood is hit and miss.
Will def be back when the taco craving comes back. Well sized and priced.

Unfortunately this store is under new management. The food is old, stale and tastes horrible. The bread and pastries are a couple days old. Nothing is fresh. The atmosphere is really depressing. Everything looking dirty inside and unwelcoming. I really hope the new owners take this and turn this place around. The old owners were amazing, the food was 10/10. I wouldn’t feed my dog this food from the new owners. Best wishes.

Ate one of the best chicken quesadillas I ever have had! Owner was super kind and came to our table with a smile on his face, great service and I purchased a concha that was delicious. Price for the food was extremely affordable. 10/10 definitely will be back.

Inside the store looks very sad because the shelves are mostly empty and they look like they are running out of business.
However, I decided to give their burek a try because of the advertisement on their window. Surprisingly, the lady at the register was unsure what burek is and after a few minutes showed me one beef and one spinach one.
I ended up getting the spinach one. But it was DISGUSTING and I spitted out the first bite and the rest is in the trash. It tasted like it was a month old. Super greasy and barely any spinach or cheese. The phyllo dough was super thick as if the person making them has no idea what burek is. And the smell was unbearable.
I wasted $11 on absolute garbage.
