I grew up in North Mayfair. What can I say about Marie’s except that is the benchmark against which all others are measured for me. It’ll forever be my home style and a place I spent so many evenings as a teenager.
The best thin crust pizza. Period. Even though they just made Chicago's best pizza list, they are still barley open for business since Covid (way too long) which is why my rating went from 5 to 3. I'm afraid it'll be closed very soon.
Yes I've had Marie's before they need to close up shop.... Their pizza is garbage if you cut back on quality you'll pay for it in the end simple as that..... You need a new manager such as myself and I'll show you how to make a pizza place I can turn that place upside down and turn it the best pizza place on the planet..... Use quality cheese homemade sauce freshly grated mozzarella cheese all fresh ingredients use oregano for your seasoning use fennel seasoning...
