Mart Anthony's Italian Restaurant

My number one neighborhood Italian restaurant in Chicago. Family owned. Authentic recipes and attentive service. Hearty portions. The lobster ravioli and beef braciole are outstanding. The yummy desserts are made by “mom”)... my favorites are the tiramisu and cheesecake. Free valet and street parking.

We had an outstanding evening on our first visit there. Loved the food, our server was terrific, and had a nice chat with owner while at bar having a drink before sitting down for dinner. He's super welcoming and engaging and checked on us at least twice while at our table. As he was doing for others throughout restaurant. Definitely the kind of place worth supporting. Especially with solid Italian classics and good atmosphere. Can't wait to return!

We love going to Mart's on any occasion. Everyone is great and the food is some of the best in the city.

I know it's a recurring theme with Italian cuisine but the food here was severely lacking flavor. We had the sausage and peppers, vesuvio, and seasonal ravioli. We had to add salt to everything, which we usually dont do. Would also be better off just forgoing the complementary table bread. Tiramisu was fantastic though.

Food was outstanding. Service friendly and great. Owner was very friendly and outgoing. Great experience! Highly recommend. Will go back!

One of my favorite old school Italian restaurants. The food is excellent and I always have leftovers to take home. Owners are on site and remember you; they always welcome you back. This is a neighborhood gem!

We have never had a “bad” meal at Mart Anthony's over the years. You must try their braciole! Looking forward to our next visit!

Celebrated my daughter's birthday and it was an overall wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, food delicious, with an intimate environment. Great for all occasions. We are definitely going back, soon!

We celebrated my birthday dinner and the lasagna, the fish and drinks were amazing. Fresh pasta at its best! They also have a nice wine list and special drinks menu

Great bar and always good food always a favorite stop when we come to the city. Wait staff is top notch and we love the covered courtyard.

We have dined here many times and the food never disappoints. We sat in the outdoor area which is beautiful but very loud. Prefer the dining room. Bartender was great for drinks after dinner. Owner's son came by our table to visit and make sure everything was okay. Just love this place!

Mart Anthony's is a long time go to: family owned and run, good food and good value. And it has really adapted to the changing neighborhood- a welcome respite from the Fulton Market hype. Love supporting places like this!
