Super fun joint. A lot of good vibes and reasons to hang around. The food, overall, was tasty, but the pizza left some to be desired. You can tell they put great care and detail into every decision. The pizza just didn't do it for me. Could've been the bold claim of "best cheese pizza in Chicago." I appreciate the bravado, but unfortunately, it came with little fanfare.

this place has some of the best bread ever. the atmosphere is very fresh and welcoming - it’s the perfect spot to get together with friends and enjoy good food, beer and wine, and music in a casual but cute space. my personal favorites are the soppressata and hot honey pizza, bread with cultured butter, and the big salad. honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything here! this is a spot i keep coming back to because it’s just so good.

A sunny Saturday that required tasty beers took us to this quaint spot. With no reservations available, we were prepared for a wait and the host was beyond helpful. A beer on the patio while we waited 30min for our table sounded perfect. We ended up waiting in a line nearly the entire time for 2 beers at a large counter that was oddly underutilized because all food and beverages are concentrated in another area; logistical issues. Perhaps hard to believe, but our delicious pizza arrived faster than the beers once seated indoors at the cutest rustic table. The 8% fee added to all bills was a shock and described as a method to help pay employees. I value good service but am I responsible for ensuring decent pay? Do I pay the wage fee on top of the standard 20% tip? 28% extra for a pint and a slice is excessive. Glad I tried it, once.

I’ve been having dreams about this food since I had it. I had a sandwich (can’t find the name of it) and I ate it so fast.I’m not a sandwich person and I was blown away at how good this was. Both of my friends got the dough boats, and they give them a 10/10.The aesthetic of Bungalow is very cute. The inside is very homey. We could spend hours talking here. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. I’ll be back (hopefully VERY soon)! For more reviews follow me here on google or on instagram @audrey.pulliam ?

Always such a good time. All the food is good - Bread and butter is to die for, and their pizza is very much so their own. Service is kind and attentiveExtra compliment for the staff - today the waiter (thomas) even asked me which nuts I'm allergic to when I said select nuts. Many other places will mark all nuts even when I say I would like almonds still included in xyz dish, so I started giving up. The attention is priceless, thanks for always taking care of me Bungalow Vegetarian options: Menu is clearly labeled vegetarian or vegan, and staff is knowledgeable of ingredients.Dietary restrictions: Staff is extremely attentive and as a person with many allergies I've never had issues.

Middle Brow is one of my favorite places, ever. Not to be too dramatic, haha. I particularly enjoy their tavern-style Tuesdays! However, the reason I'm writing this review is that I recently hosted my 30th birthday party there, and it was an all-around amazing experience. The service was exceptional, and the staff were welcoming, helpful, friendly and chill. It was the perfect atmosphere for such a special occasion, and only made my fondness for the place grown even stronger!

Calm and welcoming atmosphere that's definitely very self consciously "urban rustic". The service was good and so were the drinks. The food, however, was...strange. The bread we got was burnt (to the point it smelled and tasted unpleasantly smoky). The "cloud" pizza has no business calling itself pizza. It was just more burnt bread. The toppings were okay, but overall a very crunchy and confusing experience.

This spot was an unexpected delight in every way!The tavern style pizza reviews are what made us stop in to give Bungalow a try but we ended up loving everything about the place, even though we didn't try the tavern style pie this time. The lofty space and mix of individual and communal tables made the ambiance very comfortable and welcoming. Noise level was fine to be able to have a conversation. Our server was friendly, attentive, proactive, and was able to speak about the NA beer options. We were warned right away of the wait time for pizzas, which was both appreciated for the proactive care, but also not longer than we might expect, 20-25 minutes. We were simply delighted to see a whole dry January menu on the table, a never before seen selection of many NA beers, wines, mocktails, and amari! They even offered a NA dirink flight!!! This was above and beyond expectations and I felt unexpected joy at this offering, especially from a place that makes their own beer and wine. The olives and "big salad" were delicious and kept us satisfied until the pizzas arrived. The salad was better than expected and, as advertised, a big salad. We ordered the mushroom, and sausage olive pizzas and both were fantastic. The crust was a flavorful charred sourdough which had a thin, slightly crisp bottom, and tender chewy outer edge. Toppings were very flavorful and were even great the next day as leftovers.I can't wait to return again to try their other beverages and explore more of the menu.
