Food was not what we expected. Wraps were lacking fresh ingredients, sauce, and pickles. Hummus was bland and way too thin. Falafal was good but I dont like just eating nothing but that and bread. Way underseaonsed too.
Then the lentil soup and hollyyyy cow was this the single most salty food I have ever had.
Also had the baklava and it wasnt as good as Ive made. Tasted more oily than sweet

Food was so bad
Great place. For house made items in the grocery section: their hummus is quite good. They get much of their bread from another bakery on Kedzie. Only complaint there is the Lebanese style bread cannot be split easily because the bread is packed into half while it is still warm. For this reason, but the thinner style bread (some call it mountain bread) which this store receives in smaller quantities, so I recommend going in the morning. Good selection of dried lentils, beans, etc. In the restaurant section, the food is delicious. Wonderful atmosphere too, with a wide range of Chicagoans bustling in and out: families, bus drivers, couples, etc. That said, I do generally recommend Taste of Lebanon across Foster Ave for shawarma.
No exaggeration the best falafel I’ve ever had. Super compassionate staff as well.
Ordered one wrap and waited 40 minutes. It did not taste very good. I hate to give negative reviews to small businesses, and maybe it was an off day, but to me this place was a flat-out waste of time.
Favorite middle eastern place, tried a few in the Chicago land area and this is the best one hands down. They have a bakery grocery store next door and a wonderful assortment of baklava. The kebabs are phenomenal

Very average mediterranean food. still scratches the itch if you’re looking for shawarma, though.

Was my first time in a Mediterranean restaurant in Chicago, Lovely restaurant with delicious food, welcoming staff and a great menu. The dishes were full of flavor with a generous portion. We had falafel 🧆 hummus and two dishes of beef / lamb shawarma plates. It was a pleasant meal with lovely music playing for the great singer FAIRUZ. The restaurant is connected to a Mediterranean grocery store where you can find many different kinds of Middle East herbs and more.

Great prices. It's attached to a cozy grocery shop with a bakery. I took a small order of falafel to go . It's 6 pcs. Well done. Crispy on the outside well cooked inside. The accompanying tahini was great.
Will come back here sometime again for a full lunch experience.

One of my favorite corner spots in the city. With great sandwiches and very quick service. You're doing yourself a disservice by not coming to this Andersonville staple.
