When we arrived I mentioned we had a birthday to celebrate. I never dreamed we would be charged for the bday treat. That has never ever happened to me at another restaurant. Not only were we not asked what we'd like, IF INDEED we were going to be charged, but the cost was outrageous. We come here often, as do many of our friends. I'm not sure we will again after thus disappointing experience.
Perfect all around. Great atmosphere, prompt perfect service, polite attentive staff. The chef has a gift and talent. The bone in new york strip cooked to my specification and the sauce had a rich deep flavor that complemented the steak perfectly. The grilled calamari and shrimp was perfect, and the flavor was like nothing I had before. Dessert was Bananas Foster was mind blowing and prepared table side. We will be back again. Something negative has happened here. Last 2 visits on August Saturday nights at seven had the restaurant 75% empty. By 9:00 the help was having dinner. Food quality has slipped. Pork chops dry & over cooked. Chicken dry. Fish not fresh & too salty. Finally to add insult to injury, they've now tacked on a $3.00 PER CREDIT CARD surcharge to the bill. Mirabella will be out of business in 6 months if things aren't fixed.
