So today I had a friend in from out of town and we topped off our afternoon with a visit to Miski Bakery. I was dying to try the alfajores, and they did not disappoint! The very delicate morsels melted in our mouth, and the creamy luscious dollop of dulce de leche caramel was a perfect pairing. In addition we tried the Milhojas/Napoleons in two flavors the Lucuma pastry creme and also the dulce de leche. What's the deal with the hours? For the second time, I walked down and knocked on the door 40 minutes before closing time. Each employee saw me and then waved us away. It's a trifle disappointing because I really try to support small businesses and neighborhood businesses. I guess it's Jewel from now on
