It was my first time visiting Mister Tiger, and the food was amazing. It's hard to find a good Korean restaurant in the city but this one met my expectations. The service was great, food was perfectly cooked and authentic. Will visit again!
Wow! Amazingly delicious and lovingly prepared - this meal will knock your socks off. We can't wait to return. This restaurant should have multiple Michelin stars. Amazeballs!
The food is delicious. Small plate.. not a huge many of selection, which is good I like that. Pretty basic Korean food dishes. I love the day refill the side dishes. The service was amazing This place is pretty big, but not a huge decoration. Pretty simple. Very hard to find a parking Overall, I give it 8 out of 10 for this restaurant
Went for restaurant week, food was all enjoyable but the service was pretty poor. Took our order and never came back and just simply dropped off our check without asking if we wanted another drink, how everything was, if we wanted anything else.
Mister Tiger is a 5 star experience from start to finish. Edison lighting and a neon tiger set a vibey mood upon entering the intimate dining room. Each bite of food only adds to my love of this spot for Chicago restaurant week. Food reviews: Banchan set--cucumber kimchi was crispy and nicely balanced with a subtle spice! Potato salad, cabbage kimchi, and fish cakes were all just okay Korean chicken--favorite app of the night! The exterior was crispy without being overly heavy. The sauce also packed a powerful flavor punch without overwhelming the bite. Rice cakes had nice texture to break up bites of chicken. Jeon--beautiful contrast between crispy exterior and silky interior. Could use a flavor boost on its own but was elevated nicely with the chili oil served with it Bulgogi bibimbap--no notes on this dish! Each element added something to the bowl and the crispy rice on the bottom delivered! I loved adding the gochujang to make the spice sing. Banana chocolate cannoli--such a fun flavor combo on a classic dessert. Filling was beautiful, silky and balanced both flavors well
Abram was great and the Restaurant week menu was perfect and delicious!!! Drinks were good too.
Awesome restaurant week menu!! Get the hot stone bibimbap and let it sit for a bit before you stir it up.
The service and food was excellent. The uni rice, jeon, and galbi jjim were delicious. I would just go back to have these 3 dishes alone. I'm excited to go back to try a few others.
I've been wanting to try this place for a while, and Restaurant Week felt like the perfect excuse. From the moment we arrived, the experience started off strong, the host was incredibly welcoming and even seated me early while I waited for my two friends. The space itself felt modern yet warm, setting the tone for the meal. We all opted for the Restaurant Week menu and decided to share everything family-style so we could try a wider variety of dishes. For starters, we had the complimentary banchan, uni rice, jeon, and Korean fried chicken. The Korean fried chicken was the standout, perfectly crispy with just the right balance of sweet and spicy. The jeon was also excellent, with a crisp texture and a sauce that added a touch of acidity, which paired beautifully with the savory pancake. For our main courses, we ordered the galbi jjim and two orders of the spicy chicken. The galbi jjim (braised short ribs) literally melted in my mouth and was incredibly flavorful. The spicy chicken was just as satisfying, the gochujang marinade was rich and bold, and pairing it with cheese and perilla really elevated the dish. We ended the meal with the milk ice cream bingsoo for dessert. It was thicker than we expected, but still very delicious and a great way to finish the meal. Overall, I'm so glad I finally came here. I used to live in South Korea, and both the food and the atmosphere genuinely reminded me of the meals I had there. Everything felt authentic, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. I'm already excited to come back and try more of their dishes.
Extraordinary Korean flavors; every bite was delicious! From the moment you walk in, tantalizing aromas welcome you. Wonderful service. Cozy space, cool art, intimate lighting. If you want to try an array of Korean home-cooking with nuanced flavors, settle in for a wonderful evening at Mister Tiger. Starters: Sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken, and Jeon (crispy, savory pancakes with chives and kimchi - Yum! Mains: Galbi Jjim (braised short ribs) - wonderful, balanced flavors, and Bibimbap - the best ever!

A lovely restaurant week dinner! They have a delightful cocktail menu that I am excited to keep exploring. The food was delicious and well portioned and I am excited to come back and try their full menu.
Mister Tiger had a stellar menu for restaurant week, very much so bang for your buck. Baby back ribs were tender, and jean was perfectly crisp. All dishes came out well times as well. Service was attentive, and polite. Gochujang chicken was simple but delicious, and banana chocolate cannoli were creamy but light. Really solid menu with classic and delicious flavors. Would return.
I had a amazing experience at Mister Tiger. This is the best restaurant week menu I have experienced so far. The bimbimbap and spicy chicken are top tier. I will definitely be back!
Andrew our waiter was very attentive and service was amazing! Will be back the uni rice 10/10
The food was fine other than the jujube that was in the galbi jjim. Apparently it's a Chinese date that had a pit inside. I bit down on it and it hurt my tooth. I wish there was a warning on the menu or from the waiter.
