Staff was great. Ordered 2 and then left with 2 more! Crème brûlée was ADDICTION! Wish this was local.
Molly’s may be famous for their cupcakes, but their cakes are equally delicious! What’s really cool is you can actually turn your favorite cupcake flavor into a full-sized cake.
Molly’s cakes have become a true staple in our family, we’ve used them for so many milestones: our gender reveal, baby dedication, and my daughter’s birthdays. They’ve been a part of all our celebrations, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Our ultimate favorite is their crème brûlée cake.. so good we always order it, whether from the Streeterville or Lincoln Park location. For the size and quality, the cakes are very reasonably priced and most importantly, they taste amazing.
If you’re looking for a cake that’s just as memorable as your occasion, Molly’s never disappoints. See photos below for proof of how gorgeous (and yummy) their cakes are! 🎂🧁🍰
Normally I’m in icing girl, but their crème brûlée cupcake was so good. The right amount of sweetness to make your day.
The banana pudding cupcake is awesome. Very unexpected. Taste like a spoonful of my granny banana pudding. If they used instant pudding I couldn't tell.
Atmosphere was pretty chill. Nice music playing, cool Air… nice vibe . Cupcakes was sooooo good. I didn’t want to eat all in one sitting . Didn’t get a chance to bite into my brownie but I’m pretty sure it’s delicious!
Discovered Molly’s Cupcakes while wandering near Navy Pier — what a sweet little gem of a café!
They’ve got an awesome variety of cupcakes to choose from — classic flavors, seasonal specials, and even a few fun surprises (I tried a milk cake based). Bonus: you can actually customize your cupcake — frostings, toppings, the whole deal. It’s like a DIY dessert dream for adults 😄
They also serve a pretty decent cup of coffee, which pairs perfectly with the sweets. The café itself is really cute with cool, laid-back vibes and plenty of seating to relax and catch up with friends or take a break from sightseeing.
Definitely good value for money — the cupcakes are fresh, generously sized, and worth every bite. Staff were friendly and patient (especially when I took forever to decide 😂).
Only downside: there’s a small step at the entrance, so it’s not super stroller or wheelchair friendly, which might be tricky for some visitors. But aside from that, it’s a lovely stop if you’re in the area and craving something sweet!
Will definitely be coming back next time I’m downtown.
Every time I’m in Chicago, I have to stop here. It’s not even a question at this point – it’s just part of my routine.
I always get the same thing: their crème brûlée cupcake. I’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The flavor is spot on and the quality is consistently great.
Honestly, this place just never misses. If you’re in Chicago, definitely check it out. The crème brûlée cupcake is a must-try.
Rasmalai cupcakes -seasonal flavor. Oh so delicious, out of this world.

I am lucky to stop by this place when it is nice and quiet. Their cupcakes are rather famous one in town. Their cupcakes are moist and with filling. They have both sweet and sour options. It is cute and cozy at this location and people at the counter are always nice. I enjoy stopping by and wind down for the day.

Must give praise to Molly's! We stopped in Saturday to see if it would be possible for them to do a few last minute gender reveal cupcakes. They could've easily said no since I believe they require at least 24 hour notice for any custom offerings, but the woman working was so accommodating and kindly squeezed it in. She helped us have a wonderful experience!
P.S. we had one of our first dates at Molly's, so it was such a neat full circle moment to have Molly's a part of this milestone. Can't wait to bring our baby GIRL here next year! Thank you!!

Decent cupcakes! I made an order a few weeks ago for my friends bday party because I was told they were the best in the city. While they were good I felt like the cake was a bit stale and frosting too sweet. The ratio of frosting to cake was off and the flavors were bland. Overall I was happy with the order and maybe I’m being over critical.. but I’ll probably order from somewhere else next year.
