I love going here! If you don't know what a Jianbing is, it's like a savory Chinese crepe burrito. It's super crunchy and I totally recommend you guys to try it. I had the fried chicken Jianbing.

Fried shrimp jianbing was a delectable combination of so many textures and flavors wrapped up in a freshly griddled crepe. The textural contrast between the shatteringly crispy wonton sheet and the soft, chewy crepe was downright addictive. Every bite was flavorful: smoky, savory, slightly sweet, a little spicy, and wildly satisfying. It's the comfort of street food in one messy, glorious handful.

First time having Jianbing and really enjoyed it. Nice to try something different. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but it was fresh and delicious. Parking in front of the restaurant is difficult (4 spots) but there should be street parking nearby.

I went here with my wife and daughter and we all loved it. I lived in China for some time and ate Jiang bing daily for breakfast. Many of the ones I’ve tried in the us have been too greasy. These were prefect! And I loved that I could add Chinese pickles. 好吃极了！

Personally a fan of the hot dog and meat floss Jianbing, but others I was with also really liked the fried chicken Jianbing and the egg waffles. My only complaint is that I don't live closer!

Monkey King Jianbing is located at Dempster and McCormick of Skokie. It is a small perfect short time dine-in and to-go delicious Chinese street food inspire breakfast and lunch meals!
I was recommended by a close friend to try out their egg sandwiches. So I ordered their Meat Floss and Beef Hot Dog Jianbing egg sandwich wrap. The wrap is made out of an egg batter which is then wrap around in layers of lettuce, possibly a deep fried crunchy wonton, pork meat floss, a hot dog, and drizzled sauces with a choice of either spicy or no spicy and sweet and savory sauce.
Their menu offers more from small appetizers such as crab rangoon and dumplings to desserts!
