Their beer was amazing! We will definitely be back for more!

It was my first time visiting this part of Chicago. I walked from the city center to the brewery, it took about 50–60 minutes, but it’s also easily accessible via the Orange Line and a short walk.
I arrived early, so it was a quiet day. The place has a large open space with plenty of seating, including a few comfortable couches, and a big bar area with seats as well.
I really like breweries that offer a good variety of beers on tap, and Monochrome Brewing had an excellent selection. They also served a hard seltzer, a wide range of cocktails, and even had a guest tap.
I tried the following MR beers:
El Venado – 5.1% Mexican lager
Ochre – 5.8% Pale Ale
Oktoberfest – 5.5% Märzen
YR:1NE – a massive 15.5% stout
I don’t usually drink many Mexican lagers, but this one was really nice. Overall, every beer I tried was high quality!
One of the owners/brewers even sat down for a chat, really friendly people, and I even got a few freebies 🙌
During my visit, I learned that MR had been to Europe earlier this year for the Brewskival festival, and from what I heard, they might be coming back next year 🍻
Definitely worth the trip if you’re visiting Chicago!
Great atmosphere and great drinks. The service was excellent and would definitely return with my friends
My favorite bar in Pilsen! The cocktails are delicious and there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend going on a Wednesday when Venados meets. You’ll get a chance to meet some really awesome people from the neighborhood. I’ve never had a bad time here.
Phenomenal drinks and service. Also they act as a much needed community space for local groups. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area!
Was in town for the marathon, wanted to go somewhere to catch the Bears game. So glad we chose this place! Great beer, great fun, and Bears game winner against the commanders. Malort shots too
Great place and an awesome water cooler that's always filled with cold water!!
Place is a joke - stay away
Super friendly staff and interesting rotating selection!
The vibe at Monochrome was solid, but unfortunately the beer they’re serving is flat. It’s not cheap, so ideally they’ll get their brewing and tap set up squared away.

Monochrome is a good, young brewery. They had a really delicious stout and were pumping rockin' tunes. Arden is a fun bartender.
Decent but not great beers. Nice space, pretty open with plenty of places to hang out.
Spacious yet cozy spot with great drinks and rotating food pop-ups. Ample parking and outdoor space make it easy to hang out. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and happy to chat about their craft and philosophy--you can tell they’re passionate about what they do here 🍻
Want a quick chill spot with decent IPAs, this is it. Nothing more, nothing less. The name “Monochrome” is the truth, everything here is aggressively dull. The human beer dispensers (f.k.a bartender) are drier than dryer lint.
Five stars because Monochrome nailed their one color, HAVE BEER. The flawless execution of the bare minimum.
Super overpriced no good and the service sucks and they don’t care about the neighborhood they are catering to other people with a different tax bracket
